Liston or foreman if ali was not around.

Who would have been better & have the longer reign as champions if muhhamad ali was not around. Imo is foreman.

Foreman simply because Liston was getting on in years and Foreman had many years left in him after Ali beat him.

        Foreman.

Nice pics MmuhammadM, Big George sparred with Liston as early as 19 years old and he learnt a lot from Liston specifically his stare-down.

Never seen that picture before, tis cool

Imo Liston holds the title until 69/70 where Frazier would take it off him because Liston would be getting old and would most likely retire afterwords, then Foreman beats Frazier and holds it for a long time, most probably retires champion and doesn't make his come back. (Maybe even undefeated).

If Foreman and Liston fought at the time Foreman would of won, prime for prime I'd choose Liston though.

In "Facing ALi", foreman was quoted as saying "No one ever stood up to me in sparring except liston"

Ye, he'd say how Liston was the only person who forced him to back pedal when they fought / sparred.

I think the only question left now is: How had the better chin?

I believe that would be the determining factor in this fight.

I think this trilogy would have been touching the brutality of St. valentines massacre if it took place.
