What fighter that is elite doesn't win most of the time vs Margs in the first couple of rounds?? Pressure fighters like to take you into deep waters and fuck you up. If you know your boxing, you would know that bro.
i know my boxing very well bro an i know marg's style just considering the fact clottey isn't mentally tough imo that was his fight.

whether he hurt his hand or let it get to him mentally is up for debate i just think clottey was winning, it's different with his win over cotto who took punishment from round 1 to clottey who imo was dominating marg.

I'm not saying that before Margarito fought Cotto he was the #1 WW, but he fought anybody that was available. He fought Williams which no one wants to fight. He fought Clottey, Cintron, Santos. As far as believing that Cotto has only lost to Pacquiao a lot of people feel that way. Hey there's only one way to find out. Cotto-Margarito II
gomez is certainly worth mentioning. he was a legitimate contender - but obviously overmatched. wasn't a worthless win. jennings might have been though.

as far as the clottey fight. it was certainly close, clottey gave it away - but the thing people forget to mention is that cotto fought the entire fight with a giant cut, wasnt some little girl cut - it was a big, man-sized cut. if the cut never happened then the fight would have been much more towards cotto. valuable win IMO.

marg wanted no part of a williams rematch if i remember right. good decision considering he would have gotten beat down. he'd really get beat down now, williams has gotten a bit better and marg has had a long lay off.

they were better wins then than they would be today. by the same logic, floyd got a questionable first win over castillo and castillo went on to become a stepping stone before retiring. although castillo had a much more glorious career than any of those guys, you have to take the win for what it was at the time.

whether he used hand wraps or not but it's funny how people make it seem as if he was some terror in the ww since 2004.
        No.

He had/has clearly accomplished more than both those guys.

Mosley would have beaten Margarito under any circumstances. He was just too fast for him. Unless of course someone thinks plaster makes your hands faster...

He would be on the canvas vs Mosley. Then who knows?Marga's is a fun fighter so he would have landed somewhere on his feet and got a good fight.

im not saying margarito was or is some bum but he was challenger at the time a guy who came to fight.

he was a credible opponent at welterweight but that's it until he destroyed cotto.
Clottey vs Margo had a hand injury

Cotto vs CLottey ---- Cotto was fighting with only one eye most of the fight due because of the head but

Worst . Where mosley would have been? could he had been seriously injured.
