quintana, judah, mosley, gomez, jennings(doesn't really count but it was for a vacant title after all), clottey, got cheated against marg (he was winning until plaster damage began to accumulate), gave pacquiao a tough fight.... for 3 rounds hahaha.

I'm not saying that before Margarito fought Cotto he was the #1 WW, but he fought anybody that was available. He fought Williams which no one wants to fight. He fought Clottey, Cintron, Santos. Martinez had more experience than Margarito when Antonio won against him too, and for some reason Margarito never gets any credit for that. The best wins that Cotto have are controversial and Margarito's best wins he won them convincingly. Anybody who says Cotto's resume is better are fooling themselves. Unless you want to include Cotto's run at 140 which that gets overrated too.

What if find funny is that out is that he beat 3 of the top 5 current 154 pounders and fought the #2 160 pound in Williams to a close fight. Cotto never fought Cintron, Martinez nor Williams.

Well according to Clottey he injured his hand which is possible. But like it was stated earlier he folds under pressure. Margarito had a long layoff and was fighting ring rust and had mentioned that he hurt his ankle during training camp.
