He probably would have fought the likes of Williams(again) and maybe even Pacquiao instead of Cotto.

He would have gotten caught sooner or later tho.

yes he beat clottey thanks to a hand injury.

im not saying margarito was or is some bum but he was challenger at the time a guy who came to fight.

he was a credible opponent at welterweight but that's it until he destroyed cotto.

quintana, judah, mosley, gomez, jennings(doesn't really count but it was for a vacant title after all), clottey, got cheated against marg (he was winning until plaster damage began to accumulate), gave pacquiao a tough fight.... for 3 rounds hahaha.

btw thats just at welterweight. IMO only fighter cotto lost to was pacquiao.

He would have fought Pac. Those are both TR fighters, so they would have gotten it on pretty easily and Floyd would have faced the winner after facing JMM.

considering the fact that he was fighting at the welterweight division for his whole career that's no huge accomplishment.

but just to point it out, this thread is pointless, cause marg would have still got ktfo against mosley. plaster dont mean **** when you arent landing shots. marg never really landed much on mosley. damn that was a great win for mosley, i had money on him too. everyone thought mosley was shot and marg was going to steam roll him.
Marg's resume at WW >>>>>>> Cotto's. Even some Cotto fans agree with that.

You're right about plaster or not vs Mosley though. Mosley fought a perfect fight against Margs.

Hand injury??? The bruised hand?? rofl!!!! Clottey folded under pressure just like he did with Pac. Also Margarito didn't come 100% for the fight as well. So cut the hand bull**** excuse.

Wrong!!! Margarito has fought from 135 to 154 as well.

Martinez had more experience than Margarito when Antonio won against him too, and for some reason Margarito never gets any credit for that. The best wins that Cotto have are controversial and Margarito's best wins he won them convincingly. Anybody who says Cotto's resume is better are fooling themselves. Unless you want to include Cotto's run at 140 which that gets overrated too.
