Why couldn't Steward just admit he was wrong?

I knew Mosley didnt stand a chance also. Maybe prime for prime at 135 Mosley could have possibly upset him, but at 140 and up Floyd always gets him.Comment

umm. no, he overtrained.
his own trainer said it. everybody SAW it.
Mayweather was gettin touched with overhand rights pretty easily for 2 rds. Then Mosley just ran out of it. It wasn't that Mayweather adjusted or anything, or started doing what he always does....countering, footwork, etc. He didn't even have to do that. After the 2nd rd, Mosley showed he had NOTHING left in the tank. 6 minutes. that was his window, and it wasn't enough.
Then Floyd walked him down in his Guard, and simply put on a boxing clinic on a fighter with an empty tank.

great post right here....People forget that nobody looks themselves against Floyd. Great boxers can ruin you psychologically. Whenever Shane has lost a fight in the past he asked for rematches and he got them except with Cotto, after Floyd beat Shane nobody has heard or seen Shane Mosley. After Floyd beat Hatton, Hatton said the fight was the worst for him basically because he couldnt do anything, wasnt effective at all. I keep telling people getting countered hard and fast will shut your offense down and you have to mentally overcome it to keep after the gameplan, this didnt happen with Shane, he shut down after repeatedly getting countered, hard and fast, he knew the punch was coming but just couldnt get out of the way.
this is basically what im saying which is why its a trip that people cant realize this but instead they make up excuses such as mosley overtrained etc.Comment

Its nice to make excuses after the fight or in the middle of the fight when people realise that its the same old story with Mayweather. Have realise since the Gatti fight that before Mayweather signs a fight he gets beat but as soon as he signs then "He's taking the easy option" but he "still going to lose" but after 4 or 5 rounds when reality sets in then excuses starts flying.
In the first 2 rounds in the Mosley fight everyone on here were screaming because Mayweather was about to get KO but by round 4 their disapppointment turned into excuses.Comment

SSM looked very fatigued early...His emphasis on Mosley-May being competitive leading up to the fight was heard by everyone. He kept stressing how Mosley had more chance then people gave him, and how every1 was underestimating him. He called the odds in Floyd's favor a little unreasonable because according to him Mosley was no walk in the park. He kept stressing this point throughout the broadcast of the fight, and even before the fight.
But what happens when he sees Floyd beating Mosley? Instead of giving Floyd his dues, and recognizing greatness he quickly states, "I didn't think I would be saying this but Mosley looks his age tonight."
Those were (and still are) the words of pure haterism. I love Steward, but I don't think he should call a Floyd fight. Instead of admitting he was wrong he started making up excuses, as to why Floyd was dominating Mosley.
Also don't get me wrong I love and enjoy our current HBO analyst and believe they are a great team, but I don't want to see the same team who literally slobbed over pacs nuts in his fight against clottey commentate a possible pac-floyd fight...Comment

It's well established by now that he never admits being wrong. No matter what he predicted and whatever the outcome, by the end of the fight he'll claim that the fight is going exactly the way he thought it would go.Comment
