Calzaghe will always get attention because he was always an anomoly. Italian and British. A skilled southpaw with a totally unique style. Undefeated but with questionable opposition. It's really hard to say much definitive about him. I get what he means tho. Boxing is only 1% the actual fight. The rest is training, press conferences, making weight etc... He misses the fight but not that stuff. It's not football where he call pull a favre and just show up. If he could I bet he would. People need to remember how Joe fought. He was relentless and athletic. The key to his success were the 2 things that fade first, speed and endurance

No reason for Joe to come back. He's already proven that he is better than everyone in the super-six with the dominant win over Kessler. And he did it without cheating or head-butting.

No he didn't. Kessler was owned than stopped by Ward. Joe just outboxed him. Joe would have major problems with guys like Ward and Dirrell. Even Abraham could have beaten him, considering Joe's flaky chin. He didn't prove much, he finally came to the states and beat 2 old dudes, that makes him great? Honestly, his best victory was almost a decade earlier against Eubank.
