but dzinziruk v cintron and martinez v perro might b a bit much to ask for at this time.
dzinziruk v cintron sounds about right at this point tho.
Hey, I wouldn't be against it, at least it would give Dzinziruk the much needed exposure and a build up for Martinez/Dzinziruk showdown.

The real truth is, the biggest money fight at 154 for Sergio is Miguel Cotto. That man has owned New York for years now. Put it in the Garden and they will both cash in big time. Cotto is a huge huge draw.

          low risk, high reward!

HBO needs to flex sum broadcasting muscle! Cut these fighters lights off and see how many demands they will make. Showtime stands pat when it comes to their budget. And HBO is the major source of revenue for these lame azz promoters.

          Step up HBO!

Sergio Martinez wasn't well known but he blew up after his fights with Kermit Cintron, Paul Williams, and Kelly Pavlik.

Sergei Dzinziruk is a relative nobody by comparison. He had been very inactive until recently, and the biggest names on his resume are Joel Julio and Daniel Santos.

He should look at going after a Kermit Cintron or a Paul Williams to get more recognition. Even a fight with Angulo would be good but we know that is not going to happen because they're promoted by the same guy.

Sergio has no room to talk, most people don't know him either.

Hell, Paul Williams was practically signed to fight Dzinziruk until the Pavlik fight got made and even said he'd fight him in Germany. And yet a lot of the same people who are giving Martinez a pass for this was all down Williams' throat for supposedly ducking Dzinziruk. Lol. Gotta love Boxingscene.

Martinez is a world champion in 2 weight classes. Simultaneously.

And he's been mentioned as a possible opponent for Floyd Mayweather.

You'd have to be pretty clueless to not know who he is. Dzinziruk isn't even in the same universe as him when it comes to name recognition.

I heard that Williams recently turned down Sergei as well though. But I mean recently.

Joe Greene lost a chance to go the 2004 olympics by losing to Andre Dirrell by 1 point-so dont take anything away from Vanes' victory, when you probably cant even remember the name of the guy Dzinziruk fought...
There last fight correct. Now just take a look at both there careers. I like Vanes but get his balls off your forehead.

That's why iv lost respect for him. He was in the same position 1 year ago and now he's turned into a typical American Primadonna. He'll fight JCC jr for *** sakes but not one of the other top 2 guys at 154 and longest reigning Champion cuz he doesn't have a "name"

This is the type of attitude that would be the downfall of boxing if everyone shared his sentiments.
