    Misconceptions made by casual fans.

    God bless 'em

    1. The greatest boxer of all time is a toss up between Ali and Tyson

    2. They are always surprised at how small guys at welterweight actually are

    3. They are clueless to all the months and months of back and forth negotiotions for a superfight

    4. They don't really hate Mayweather as much as we think they do

    5. They scored the DLH/Mayweather fight for DLH

    6. They want to know if Roy Jones Jr still fights. Sadly the answer is yes.

    7. They get Sugar Ray Leonard and Sugar Ray Robinson mixed up.

    8. They think Roberto Duran is Mexican (Technically they're half right)

    9. They think Pacquiao's best win was Oscar De La Hoya and are clueless about what an accomplishment MAB was or who MAB is for that matter.

    10. They don't know how to score a round.

    11. They have no idea the HW division is dominated by two European guys.

    12. They think Mike Tyson was in his prime during the 90's and many were jaw dropped when he lost to Lennox Lewis.

This is how you tell if they are casual. Ask them who their favorite boxer is, if they say tyson they are casuals that know nothing about boxing...

great thread hahah. I love number five. People at my job are always like mayweather lost to dlh. I'm like hell no the only fight he remotly came close to losing was the first castillo fight. Then they have no clue who he is lol. Or the Tyson is best he hit you so hard statement. Ugh I hate em but they try haha

I hate when casual fans, who have watched a little boxing in their lives, get all nostalgic and say something like "boxing used to be great in 90's, 80's..when so and so used to fight but today's fighters are boring" or something like "these guys today wouldn't last in yesteryear's eras." Then if you asked them to name some current fighters or some current fights; they have no idea. Well, if haven't seen any fighters of this generation how the **** can you compare them to other generations?...

They don't understand why Manny Pacquiao was chosen as the FIGHTER OF THE DECADE.

Ali can definately be argued for, but for tyson it is an absurdity.
