Floyd isn't saying it straight out but his camp is and thats close enough. And if this was really about cleaning up the sport he would be advocating for it in other peoples fights not just his. It's not like he is patitioning the commission or making his case to other boxing aficianados. He's only calling for it in "his" fights which does nothing to help his cause.

Really??? is that why the NSAC just met about drug testing protocol (though they chose do do nothing)---> how about New York??? How about Allan Green and Ward wanting OST for their fight, Povetkin??? How about something closer to your heart..........MMA....GSP???


He is advocating it in other fights..........he has stated the whole sport should have it.......beyond that (and demanding it for his fights) what power do you feel he has to see it implemented across the entire sport??????

The 20,000 reasons I was referring to was the 20,000$ it costs to administer the test.


And what I propose is the fighters come to whatever ***ing comprimise they can to make the fight happen. The end!

So you saying that the promoters (let's assume 2), state commission and sanctioning body can't afford to give up $5,000 each for random OST????

This makes no sense to me either. Boxers using PEDs know precisely how long it takes for the various drugs to clear their systems and become undetectable. I believe that it's time for the world of boxing to embrace a more effective drug testing program that includes random testing of both blood and urine.

The testing for PEDs will never be perfect, but fairness and safety are of the utmost importance and the NSAC drug testing program currently in place is practically worthless."

I don't understand how he can expect anybody to believe this is true. It's my opinion that Dr. Voy is either ignorant regarding the benefits of EPO as a PED for boxers or he has an agenda that I fail to completely understand.

If I were to select the single most powerful PED available to a boxer today, it would be EPO because it can have enormously beneficial effects upon performance. Even though only a tiny amount of blood is drawn for testing, Voy discouraged it by claiming, 'it can be dangerous.' This statement is merely propaganda as far as I'm concerned.

On the contrary, not testing for an excessive level of red blood cells that could lead to a stroke or even death from the abuse of EPO is what is dangerous. Dr. David Watson supported Voy's views by saying, 'I believe that urine is the best substance to test,' and that 'blood testing is not necessary.'

This makes no sense. Only a blood test, not a urine test, can determine the thickness of a boxer's blood, which could help to avoid serious health consequences.

This is a suggestion. Why don't they hire someone or ask a volunteer to take PED, after some time, let NSAC take his urine, USADA take his blood. See which test is more accurate. After 3 or 4 days, test his urine and blood samples again.If both are accurate, then why the blood test? It's worth $20k per test? How about the under card and close-to-the-fight replacement boxers, can they afford it?

why does people say USADA is better testing?

did they do a good job testing floyd-shane?

or did they do professional job on them?

they gave them 18days pass to cheat? and they said it was enough?
isnt it opposite to wat they say that they will blood test this fighters to catch them cheating and save their blood for future test?
wheres that blood day b4 the fight so we will know both of floyd and shane where clean?

floyd just want to use this tool too close to the fight againts pacquiao to weaken him mentally, and will make floyd in an advantage to win the fight...
