KHAN IS A COWARD. Now that GBP found out Maidana is healthy, they pull out with these heavy excuses. Clear as day. Kahn gets NO CREDIT IF HE FIGHTS MARQUEZ, You cant b!tch out and avoid YOUR OWN WEIGHT DIVISION FOREVER.

I'm not sure this is Kahn's choosing however...sounds like GBP protecting their fighter...just GB trying to protect Khan from what happened to Ortiz. You have to understand, to these suits, this is a business and Khan is there way to relevancy - He has star appeal and will be protected for as long as the public cares to follow his career...Now I do believe Khan wants to prove the "haters" wrong and I'm confident Freddie now believes in Khan enough to match him up with Maidana, but GB doesn't feel the same way...it's evident with these comments.

Is there something I"m missing here... The article says khan says he wants maidana, but schaefer (whose looking for the greater payday) wants marquez.

Personally, I think the fight is for the fight fans. Sure Marquez is a bigger name but not big enough that when coupled with Khan would be considered PPV.

Regardless, nothing is going to happen until Marquez wins his fight first of all. But watsup with the hate? I've heard Khan talk abt fighting Maidana this year and having the other two top 140lb fighters duke it out for a semi-tourney. Now until Maidana gets his management problem fixed out, with Universum and Golden Boy I dnt think he"s gona fight anytime soon.

It wasn't okay that Floyd fought Marquez, I still to this day can't believe he fought Marquez that was nothing more than a boxing exhibition instead of a clinic. Marquez is slow and old now and nobody wants to see Khan potentially beat the breaks off the little man. Khan is bigger than Floyd isn't he 5'10. He could end his career as a light middleweight.

It was never OK for Oscar to fight pacquaio when it was first announced. Actually everybody and their momma except for marquez stand and pac haters wanted Pacquaio to beat Oscar but gave pacquaio almost 0 chance of beating him. The reason it took a pass because pacquaio proved almost everybody wrong and made oscar quit which nobody expect to happen. Actually not everbody can be great and be gifted like Pacquaio and Floyd.
