    exactly

what happened to the talk of him cleaning out the division??

i'd even give katsidas a chance of beating khan that guy is a warrior khan aint bout ****

he wants to fight guys that are old and slow but big names like marquez and casamayor just like he did with barrera

best names on khan's resume other than barrera are kotelnik and malignaggi and that ain't sayin much

i want to rep amir he's from the same country as me but i can't respect the way his handlers are dealing with things right now they are making him look like the biggest ***** in boxing aside from kermit cintron

      Maidana is definitely bigger.
bigger draw i.e. its a bigger fight, not bigger physically.

Besides Marquez is another big name on the resume.
khan is not a puppet, hes a boxer, and boxers get in the ring and fight. richard scheafer on the other hand is a cheif executive and his job is to make fights that make sense commercially - and hes stating his opinion on the fights that make more money - thats what cheif execs do.

Most likely this fight will happen. I'm sure they will offer Marquez a nice payday. My question to all the experts here is: Does Marquez have any chance? I love his fighting style, and his warrior spirit. I just don't see him being able to hurt Khan in any way. He is good at timing punches, but he won't be able to reach Khan. Has Marquez ever gone against a fighter with his height and reach? Well anyways I hope Marquez does not take this fight. Khan should fight Katsidis.

            khan u butterscotch

I hate this golden boy protecting this guy. I mean he says one thing, then tries to take a fight with a natural 130. I mean jmm went to 135 and got his head busted a little with the pillow fisted diaz, but figured it out and countered to a tko victory. But i think jmm can't be that competitive above 135..i mean at welter he was sluggish. King Khan Fraud and GBP are looking at this matchup as a revenue fight rather than a matchup. Even though im a huge jmm fan, i still give him about a 10% chance of actual coming off with a win, and thats because im a huge fan basing that on loyalty to him. I think the real fight fans want to see maidana and khan. This guy has been an ear full and to me still hasn't delivered the goods. By beating up an smaller and older great fighter means nothing if you been ducking the interim champ in maidana.

Schaefer knows what he's doing. Marquez is the bigger name. Any fight now Marquez will look "old." If Khan gets him now it will get him more notoriety and some good experience against a pound 4 pounder. Maidana will still be there next year.

Marquez is the bigger name but he's also the less dangerous of the 2 at this point in his career. Plus he's naturally smaller then any1 at 140. Khan doesn't want anything 2 do with Maidana. Even if he and Roach say they do, they really don't. Chino lacks the skills the other Jr Welters have but he's a beast. Victor Ortiz showed he was a better boxer then him, just couldn't take his punches once Maidana started landing those big bombs.

What happened to fighting 3 times a year? Fucking hell, they're protecting him like a baby.

...i just dont see Kahn being a crossover star here in america, he doesnt have the same appeal naseem had, i mean Kahn is just missing something to me, hes in one of the hottest divisions in boxing and at this point, i guess its about building his name. I dont know, i guess ill never really be into this guy. He gets stretched in 30 seconds and now hes facing nothing but guys who are either smaller than him or posses no threat in terms of putting a dent in his chin.

I guess itll be ages until we see him against ANYONE who can really crack, until then, im just no interested.
