Sergio Martinez Submits 9 Names Of Fighters To HBO

    THE NINE

And no, I’m not referring to the short-lived drama that was on ABC a few years back (which, by the way, I really enjoyed before it got canceled) but the list of nine fighters that Lou DiBella submitted to HBO that he says Sergio Martinez would face immediately. The names on that last are: Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley, Paul Williams, Kermit Cintron, Vanes Martirosyan, Alfredo Angulo, Felix Sturm and Sergio Mora.

Now, if they can only get him a date on the network, they can work from there. http://www.maxboxing.com/news/main-l...ns-perspective

Sergio is really showing what it is to be a champion, no ducking, no nothing. "HBO take your pick and I'll whoop their ass." is basically what he's saying.

HBO must be putting him on hold just in case Mayweather-Pacquiao negotiations fall apart.

That happens when you offer nothing money wise to your opponent.

            So you don't think a Martinez/Williams rematch wouldn't be a money fight???

Well, Mayweather isn't going to fight Martinez, and I wouldn't expect him too, so thats cool. But if Cotto & Marg don't match up, then Margarito won't duck Martinez....PWill wants other fights, but realistically he may not get them so, financially these are the best options.

                    Yup. He trounces them all.

Didn't Martirosyan put him on blast in '09? Those were some nasty words exchanged between them, IIRC.
