Marg fans only remember the second half of the Cotto fight and thats about it, because the rest of Marg's career is garbage. He gets KTFO worse than Cotto ever has, he lost to Cintron, beat an insanely young Martinez and got out punched by Williams. They tend to ignore all this including the first 6 rounds of the Cotto fight where the guy was getting a boxing lesson.
As for someone saying Cotto's best division is 154 I totally agree, and completely disagree with the guy who said 147 is best. At 147 I think he still had good speed, but people tend to forget he trained himself for Clottey and Pac. Everything about his skill declined when he did this, including speed. That being said he still wasn't in the top 5 speed wise with WW's. However at 154 he is one of the fastest and possibly strongest in the division. In fact, I'd say he's the second fastest behind Martinez, and his power at 154 seems to be one of the strongest as well. I don't see Martinez being stronger than him or Williams for that matter, he just throws a lot of punches. The only area where Cotto is lacking at 154 is his height, but a good boxer which he is, should be able to overcome any reach disadvantage he may have.Comment

Cotto seems to look good at 154 and Tony in his comeback for whatever reason maybe the layoff, maybe the way he fought seemed mysteriously featherfisted against Garcia would had no respect for his power and wasn't marked up at all after taking 10 rounds of leather.
You have to also consider that this may mean everything to Cotto to not get broken down and stopped by this guy this time and if he really believes that Marg cheated in their 1st fight the shots he takes could in his mind not feel as hard if psychologically he is that convinced.
Someone's men mental state and motivation can be a bigger factor than anything physical sometimes and that is why I think Cotto fights with everything he has in a rematch and stops him.Comment

My mistake he beat Cintron twice, (big deal.) That being said the only round until 7 that I think Marg's MIGHT have won was round 2. Also, we'll never know what was in those "solid body shots" and "hard punches" because he killed ALL of his reputation in his next fight. I did notice how you couldn't argue that Marg hasn't done **** other than beat Cotto, I mean that really is all this guy has thats worth a damn on his resume.
Some mentioned Marg's comeback fight. I know Jack Burton has the gif of Marg showing off his hands to prove there was nothing in them. If he could post that gif please do so and compare to this:
Hard to compare without the other pic first, but you can see how these wraps just look hard. In the other one you can see padding sticking out between the tape. Maybe it was a ****ty wrap job in mexico but you can tell that without the way his hands were "wrapped" the guy is a weak version of Paul Willaims except slower, uglier and at best a B level fighter.Comment
