Cotto may literally be at his best at 154. In all honesty.

I think Cotto will do alot more damage and not get ****d as easily, if at all. I think Margarito still beats him but not like the first time. Cotto will be pressured relentlessly but I don't think he will crumble like last time.

i agree, margarito would beat down cotto, the last clear good win cotto has gotten was judah and judah and foreman are just o.k fighters, cotto always seems to lose now like with shane and clottey and marg and pac beat the crap outta cotto,

I don't know if Margarito himself is the same after the Mosley fight, and I'm also not sure who or how they're training Margarito now.

Cotto on the other hand showed more discipline and focus than he had in his previous fights after the Marg loss along with having a better corner.

It's easy to say Marg wipes Cotto out again, but this could also be a situation where Cotto adjusts from the mistakes in the 1st fight and wins a clear decision. Still tough to tell.

Cotto is only 5'7, or 5'8 he is an average sized welterweight, and a small junior middleweight - he may pack more pop in his punch but his speed is slightly less. (147 is better for Cotto in terms of competing in the weight class, in my opinion).
Cotto vs Foreman didn't show a new Cotto, it just showed effectiveness in footwork and his jab, and staying patient for most of the fight. If Cotto fights patiently, then he wins, if he gives into the pressure, then he fails, it just is what it is.

I think Cotto would win by decision, all he has to do is what he did in the first 6 rounds and instead of bobbing and weaving after he lands a combo simply clinch Marg. Marg is a ****TY fighter, period. Mosley laid out the blueprint on how to beat him, I don't think Cotto will knock him out as he doesn't throw Mosley haymakers, but he'll win 8-4 9-3 decision. That being said I'd rather he fight JCC Jr. first. Nice payday, more time with Stewart and improve the groundwork they've laid out and most importantly Marg might actually be able to fight in the US by then.
