There are No cut off dates? Where did you hear this nonsense from? Because if its from earlier this year than that contract is dead when both Mayweather and Pac signed "NEW" contracts with different fighters...

Hypothetically speaking, IF (BIG IF) there was a 14 day window (which allows a fighter to know when to cheat and when not to), why is this magic number 14 now ok but not the first go around (which WOULD have made the fight)?????

You cant answer that can you????

14 day or even 18 day cut offs are only a myth brought up on here by uneducated Pac fans. Come on now, don't make simpleton MMA fans look so good!

The idea of random drug testing as relates to boxing is to prevent a roided up fighter from entering the ring. Since you are such an authority on roids, you would know steriods need to be taken in cycles, so testing 2-3 months from an event is an effective deterrent and can successfully mitigate the usefulness of them.
Thats what i dont get, I think its because this was originally a Mayweather idea, But this is now bigger than even Mayweather and more about the sport of boxing. A lot of fighters are now coming out and saying the samething, MMA fighters are saying they wouldnt mind so why the negativity?

Because they're not doing all year testing? Lol they're not even doing testing in training now?

and who made you the expert on roids? Ever hear of offseason training? Never hear of a boxer lifting 4 months prior to a bout? Tell me roid expert. If one were to roid for 5 months, cycle the "peds" out, then take 1 month of random testing, all the benefits from roiding in those 5 months are gone? or are we still worrying about 14 days of an unknown substance that can only be caught by blood but apparently can give all the muscle gains in the world in such a small window.
I have and you are right, the NFL does year round random testing but the NFL pays for it.

I have heard of the USADA not because of Floyd, but I am involved in sports, like track anf field

I dont know mate, I had no idea the fight never stalled. I guess the negotiations they had in December were just a bloody well played out ploy?

the "fighter of the decade" is being tested mate. unlimited urine and a 14 day cutoff of blood, and tested night of. What magical beans from a leprechaun do you think he can take in 14 days mate?

how much muscle can be gained in 14 days if he needs to stay below 147 mate? if blood were that important mate, why didnt usada test in 18 days. They fancied more piss in their tests mate

they didnt take blood in those last 18 days, but it wasnt an 18 day cut off

the fact they could still be tested at any time during training for the fight acts as enough of a deterrent to stop them using, if they even would do anyway, they arent going to start using PEDs when they could potentially still be tested in those final 18 days

a 14 day cut off from testing gives them the chance to use as they know they cant be tested and therefore cant be caught, so it is not in any way random drug testing

                • Ok use the WADA.

It is June, the fight is planned for October or November, why the rush? There is no hold up, there is plenty of time. If you recall they were negotiating in January for a fight in March. They have all summer. But since Pac and his team are all over the media after his election is over and he now has time on his hands we want to rush things.

You still talking and referring to negotation that broke down in January? Well welcome to June mate.

I didnt Know Pacquiao is getting tested? when was this? the cotto fight? Clottey fight?

And again with the 14 days? why are you an advocaate for 14 days when you want all year testing? You want all year round testing but then you want 14 days of no testing for Pacquiao?

Again Random is random and thats why the USADA can have the power to cut-off testing without the knowledge of either fighter, Wanting a 14 days leeway is not random testing no more.

NFL has random urine tests, which I am sure they pay for. And do NOT have an outside commission govern their tests.

thats cool youve heard of usada. But dont come to a boxing forum and tell me "why bring up floyd" when talking about usada. This isnt an ESPN board that talks olympics.
