Cotto was also the draw in the Pacquiao fight. There's no question that Cotto is a much bigger draw than Mosley.Comment

I only watched it because I'm a boxing fan. Shoulda boycotted it though. Cotto needs to be off the network if he doesn't fight a better fighter than Foreman in his next fight.Comment

i think Pac is a bigger draw than Cotto...and not very far behid Floyd.....but i laugh when Pac fans cry about SSM being a bigger draw than Cotto...........this is just another piece of evidence that suggests otherwise.........don't even get me started.......Comment

you can say with confidence alot of fighters fans would have fight parties where 3, 4, 5.....10 people are watching the same TV set........boxing is on the way up........Comment

I doubt it was upwards of 20 people at a house, for a non PPV fight, but this is still a great point. The Cotto haters skip the 3.9 rating and just see 1.9 million HOMES and simply think thats the amount of people that saw it. Using that logic May/Mosley and May/JMM got less viewers than a Cotto fight on HBO as those ratings would read 1 and 1.25 million homes purchased the event. Obviously more people watched the May fight because there were more people watching it elsewhere, but I would say 3-5 people average for the Cotto fight means about 6-10 million people watched, sounds about right. I think you'd need a PPV to up that average to abbout 5-10 but still, Cotto IS a draw. This also isn't counting casino's (as I live in vegas) bars and other places that would host this fight.Comment
