Did you happen to watch Cotto V Foreman? How did you think Cotto looked size wise for 154?

That knockdown by Kirland was him rushing in off balance and got caught. He wasn't hurt. That's called a learning experience. He later fought Julio who is a much bigger puncher than that guy and Kirkland ate his punches like they were M & M's.
Since when in Boxing do you suffer a "flash" KD and then everyone determines that you don't have a chin. That confuses me to no end. It's one of the most brutal contact sports ever created. Chin is determined by how you react after taking the shot, NOT that you got dropped.

why are people trying to question his chin, your chin is questionable when you don't get up after a big punch, which that Animated Gif don't show is how Kirkland jumped right back up and was ready to go and he went to work on that guy

just because you get Knocked Down does not mean you have a "Weak Chin", now someone like Amir Khan who was caught by a big punch and couldn't recover or get up...now that is what I call a weak chin

as for who can beat Kirkland, he has to get back into the ring and take about 1 or 2 warm up fights first, I think Kirkland can and will get to the top of that division quickly, would love to see a Angulo vs Kirkland match, I think Kirkland can probably KO Williams especially if Williams don't tighten up his defense

That's because Williams has been fighting bigger opponents then what he used to fight at 147...

He's actually getting tagged now to because his height advantage-while still great- isn't as big at 154, or 160, as it is at 147.That's it...

I agree that getting knocked down does not mean you have a weak chin. It can but does not always. An example is steve cunningham. He does not have a good chin and gets knocked down a good amount. He always bounces right back up. It has to do with balance and footplacement also

The gif doesn't show it but below is the entire fight (1 round) and you can see Kirkland throws a left and completely misses, leaving himself both open and a bit off balance. he then takes a shot which catches him off guard and goes down. He gets up at the count of 1 and proceeds to knock the out, which suggests 1). he wasn't hurt and 2). the knockdown had more to do with being caught unexpectedly/off balance rather than having a weak chin.

Again if you watch the Julio fight, you can see Kirkland take big shots from a bigger puncher and they never phase him, which would suggest Kirkland at the very least, has a decent enough chin.

Ive already seen that 1 round fight so many times. He was not off balance and got caught cleanly; he was simply rocked and lost his legs on both shots. Yes he got up and recovered and has a decent chin though it would seem..In the julio fight he got caught but not with anything i would call major from what i saw. Joel was tired, out of shape and fighting on the backfoot the whole time..Also dont forget that Carlos Quintana beat Julio and wasnt really affected by him...As for Cotto again i feel he'll take Kirk into waters hes never been and ultimately beat him.

Yes i saw it and to my surprise he looked fast and pretty strong at the weight but only time will tell...He still beats Kirk imo though.
