Therefore Pac is better. Clottey has fought all the best welterweights over the years and says Pac is the only time he felt he lost.

Of course Pac is better than SRR. And of course people will fight it and say he isnt. Thats life and to be expected.
Yep a win over Maragarito might push him to consensus #1 P4P all time.

If he beats Mayweather then he might just be.

              • Holy shizzle... That is...

Henry Armstrong held 3 titles in 3 divisions at the same time, which today would be the equivilent of Pacquiao hold 6 titles in 6 divisions at the same time. He almost won a 4th but was robbed by the referee. Let's take into mind there were no CATCHWEIGHTS back then, and there was only one belt in each division. So to adjust my last statement, it would be the equivilent to Pacquiao holding 6 titles in 6 divisions AT THE SAME TIME, while being the LINEAL CHAMPION in each division, WITHOUT ANY CATCHWEIGHTS. He didn't do that at lightweight, and he didn't do it at welterweight. And he's on the verge of not doing it at 154... Not even close sir, not even close. Mayweather's not even in the top 10, so how can a guy who's not in the top 10 beat a guy who's also not in the top 10 and jump all the way to number 1?

Mosley's prime was at lightweight where he fought substandard opposition, he later lost to Cotto at WW who was destoryed by Pacquiao.

Trinidad lost to DLH, the judges robbed DLH. Forrest lost to Mayorga by KOed he would not of been able to cope with Pacs power.

As I say SRL and SRR are the only ones to give Pac a competitive fight.

Holycrap u didn't make a case for urself at all. Absolute Fail! Prime Pacquiao couldn't even hurt dehydrated De La Hoya, wtf do u think he'd do with Prime De La Hoya who's also very fast and far more powerful.

Cotto beat an out of prime Mosley, and yet it was still a close fight, and if fights were still 15 rounds, Mosley most likely would have won. Not to mention Cotto beat Mosley doing something Pacquiao can't... BOX. Mosley hits far harder than anyone Pacquiao has fought, at Lightweight or Welterweight, Mosley would destroy him.

Forrest can't handle Pac's power? Who the hell said Pac was more powerful than Mayorga anyway?

Trinidad lost to De La Hoya AGAIN by way of being outboxed. Pacquiao can't outbox anybody. Trinidad would KO Pacquiao, he hits FAR harder than Cotto, so don't get that twisted. Needless to say, that was an ignorant argument u just made. Don't even count Duran, Hearns... Even Paul Williams TODAY for crying outloud. He hasn't even proved he'd beat Mayweather yet, and is currently the betting underdog in their fight.

                  • When RJJ beat Ruiz people said he might be better than SRR. If RJJ retired after that fight, they may still be asking it.
But now RJJ isnt compared to SRR for all RJJ subsequent defeats. But in boxing someone always comes along, generation after generation. Almost immediately FLoyd comes along, and then Pac right after. All seeminly getting better than each other. So if by this reckoning the successor to Pac will be even better than Pac.

But the next person is going have to be really something special and achieve phenomenal things to overtake pac, and then people would still make excuses for them not being better than SRR.

I think romanticists have put a road block up to anyone overtaking SRR.
