Fine. Name the 7 HoF heavyweights that Foreman fought, let alone defeated. I'll save you the time, he only defeated 1, Joe Frazier. YOU LOSE.Comment

Weak compared to when? The early to mid 90's, the early to mid 70's...then when? Holmes' era in the late 70's early 80's? Tyson's era in the mid to late 80's? Liston's era in the 60's? Patterson/Johansen's in the late 50's Marciano's in the early 50's? Louis bum of the month club in the 30's? Dempsey didn't fight blacks for Christ sakes! Only twice in history has the heavyweight division had a true golden age.Comment

lol, he KO'd kenny norton. You've just been exposed, for a lack of knowledge.
Anyway I think you completely missed the point of my question.
"easy to dominate against mandatory bums.
Let's see him go up against 7 HOF's."
Who did ALi beat? Muhammad ALi beat the seven. So there I've already made the list for you.Comment

Ok TS, tell me, how do you think Vlad would fare against a prime Foreman?
The Klits are good, however, we will never know how good because there is no great challengers for them to face. Right now they are blessed with a lack of competition and size advantage in damn near every fight.Last edited by madsweeney; 06-08-2010, 11:08 AM.Comment

I'm from the states and the Klitshko Brothers are great for boxing and great role models for future generations. Two Stand up Dr.s who never ducked anybody willing to fight overseas that put big money fights together that aren't greedy. They gave cleaned out the division and IMO are in the top 20 Heavyweights of all time.Comment

TS I don't really think it goes that deep. I think for most in the us, the heavyweight division has been about excitment. You have these big guys who can change a fight in one punch, going at it. That's kind of what you expect from a guy who is over six feet tall that weighs 200 plus lbs. There is a lack of competition for them and that's not there fault. Tyson for example, i and maybe a lot of others had no idea who his opponent was prior to fighting him. A lot of them were no bodies. The difference however is he dispacthed of them in exciting fashion. (And a lot of americans questioned how he'd fare against the greats of the past.) It's boring to see a guy like wlad going twelve rounds with a nobody. It's predictable, boring.
It's not about nationality, think to the lower weight classes, think roy jones. Roy dominated every division he was in, one of the most gifted fighters ever IMO, yet the causal fan had no idea who he was. You could make the argument that there wasn't any real competition for rjj. He fought mandatories. Sometimes i'd find myself bored wondering why he was fighting this garbage man and why that garbage man was still around after so many rounds. Did that make roy less dominant? No. Some of his fights were a little boring as much as i hate to admit it.Comment
