There's no way Mercante Jr. should regret his officiating. He did a good job in letting the fight continue because he recognizes the courage and toughness of Foreman. Nevertheless, watching the fight here in the Philippines really sucks! Ronnie Nathanielz cover the fight for ABS-CBN Sports and he just blew it off! Comments and analysis were just NONE SENSE! He is the most respected boxing analyst here in the Philippines and he just can't view the fight on how it's supposed to be. Boxing Scene, just please remove him as your columnist. He can't even submit worthy and sensible columns and articles for such a great boxing forum site like yours.

I truly respect your opinion. I am a Cotto fan, though I should also give credit to Foreman for being tough and courageous. And that's what Mercante did. Well, we all know Cotto is ahead on the scorecards and reallt fought a hard fight, given the talent and heart of Foreman. Anyways, good analysis man.

One of the worst refs in the business, yet nobody says he is, I guess respecting his dad, but Mercante Jr. in every fight he refs does things he shouldnt do. Its become comical.
