    Like the Katsidis-Earl fight?

When the ref threw the towel back and let the fight continue.

This was a really great fight to see, and I have no problem with what the ref did. Definitely give Foreman major respect, and I'm an even bigger Cotto fan now. I'll always hate the Yankees, but I hope the 'ol slimeball Arum continues to put fights in stadiums.

All Yuri had was his foot work and that plan went out the window when he ****kked up his knee and couldn't run around the ring anymore. He never hurt Cotto cause he doesn't have the power.... Foreman was overrated from the Get go.

The only reason why he got soooo much attention from the media is because the dude has a nice personality, slightly good looking and is ***ISH. Bob Arum needs to see a replay of this fight cause it was no way near an even fight. The only reason Foreman blew his knee was from all the running he was doing in the ring trying to avoid Cotto's power punches.

Am convinced that they put Santos to fight Foreman at the very last minute so Foreman would have the edge on him as far as training and conditioning was concerned. Santos only had 5 weeks to prepare for this fight. It was all a plot to get Foreman the championship cause Santos fought like an out of shape bum. Whateverzzzzz Cotto won by TKO.... Thats all we need to know....

                      Mercante's unassertiveness translates into negligence

This is one of the worst refereed fights I have seen in the 40 years. Mercante, Jr. did many things that demonstrated he was biased in favor of Foreman. Less than one minute into the fight he was already warning Cotto to keep his punches high immediately after Cotto landed a punch that was legal (right in the belt line). Already at this juncture I thought to myself - Cotto is surely going to get points deducted early in the fight which ultimately might be the ones that decide the fight in favor of Foreman. But luckily for Cotto it did not play out that way.
I noticed many things that I will not even mention here just to limit myself.
I will say that after Yuri fell the first time there wasn't anything wrong with Mercante giving him a chance to see if he could recuperate. But if you have a chance to see the fight again notice how Mercante reacted after Yuri had another terrible fall, it seemed as if he felt the pain more than Yuri himself (judging from his body language) at the time the incident occured. If I was the one refereeing that fight in Mercante's place and if Yuri was my own blood maybe and only maybe would I have reacted the way he did and it would have been understandable. His gesture greatly cought my attention. Then when his corner threw in the towel, which was by all means the correct thing to do, he disregarded it. His nonesense arguments for this action are very unconvincing and unsatisfactory. Honestly he appeared to be blinded not so much by the occation or even the venue but by a passion demonstrated by someone blinded by fanaticism at its highest level. Today he could raise his hands to the sky and thank God or whichever "High Power" he believes in that Yuri Foreman didn't get severely hurt as a result of his extremely unassertive judgement in extending the bout more than necesary.
