i thought Cotto look magnificent against Pacquiao

He was ripped, sharp and in good condition.....he was in top form and was even outboxing the Pacman

If anything that extra 1lbs lost did good

Can he beat Pac, I'm inclined to say no right now, but let's see how he looks in another 154 fight.

I want him against Sergio. Stylistically I think Cotto can pose problems with his stout jabbing, Sergio seems to move to one side only most of the time when using his lateral movement and this can cost him, he could run into a Cotto liver shot and it could be a game changer.
Why are you guys starting to overrate Cotto? I like Cotto and I am happy he won last night. But, at he can not ****s with Martinez or Pac.

He should fight the Berto, a Shane rematch, the Spinks-Bundrage winner, Angulo, or JCC Jr. Those are all fights he can win.

Martinez and Pac will stop him. He has no chance in those fights. Zero....

Cotto looked better but he also didn't get hit with anything that would make him wince.

Believe that Pac would and how.

Not necessary. Cotto can weigh-in at 154, Pac doesn't have to.

Pac on fight night can be 148 or so. He would still be as dynamic as he was back in November.

I think I am gonna lay off these fantasy fight threads for a while and talk about the real up and coming fights.

I doubt if Pac would even weigh 150 at the weigh in.
He was letting him set up for the first 4 rounds. Pac was definitely hittable before Cotto got nailed.

I know you think I'm nuts, but I think the rematch will be much more competitive, especially since it looks like Cotto's got his power back. His punches at that catchweight looked like they had nothing on them.

But I agree with Jro he should go nowhere near Martinez... thats murkage waiting to happen.

                  Sounds like a smart idea.

Overrating? Man, people's reading comprehension skills are wack these days. Read it carefully, I'm giving Cotto a shot based on his past record against boxers. Sergio is a gifted fighter, but Pac's a much quicker, much more aggressive fighter. Read the last line, a chance shot to the liver as a game changer. It means I believe Cotto has a small chance to win based on a flaw in Sergio's movement. P-will was not able to capitalize on that flaw because he's not a skilled fighter, he relies purely on size, stamina, range etc...

Speaking of fantasy fights. Berto would get murdered by Cotto. ****er wants to fight at 40' lol..

Cotto would break him easily imo..
