Max is of our generation. And he views his role as "calling it like it is".

What he said was reflective of the realities of boxing. In truth, it is basically the way Arturo Gatti conducted his career, the way Calzaghe and Hatton spent much of their careers.

If you have a built-in fan base, you don't need to take the same risks as other fighters.

Bute can stay home and fight B-level guys if he chose to.

It wasn't the smartest thing to say on the broadcast...but Max told the truth.

Cotto is great! Has had an extraordinary career but since margarito he hasn't been the same.he still beats most of the best but mosley,margarito,clottey,pacquiao....that's a tough string of fights.foreman is a step down from his previous opposition & max was pointing out that cotto is a huge draw & doesn't have to fight the elite to prolong his career....he's honest but probably not the best choice of comments for a LIVE hbo broadcast....you do not tell the fans that an elite fighter can duck the dangerous fights because he's so popular...kellerman blew that one good!

            Who has Floyd ducked?

I'll tell you what - he didnt duck Margarito or Cotto, so if those were the names you were about to pull out, think again.

Floyd has been swerved or disregarded as an opponent several times in the past.

just cause it happened to floyd doesn't mean floyd has to do it to other people. a duck is a duck.

Cotto is not even from NY yet had almost the entire crowd shouting Cotto, Foreman seemed like the out of towner last night. Maybe that had something to do with Kellerman's comments. Foreman is not a huge name and a lot of people showed up to that fight...mainly because Cotto was fighting not Foreman.

Kellerman has a point, Dibella doesn't want to miss out on a payday that's all.

Cotto should fight the best because he has a belt. Otherwise he shouldn't get credit for winning one in the first place. I don't even know why I wasted my time watching that sparring session last night. Foreman is whack.
