Vitali "Quitter" stuff is getting old

Vitali was winning the fight that's why it's so weird. Jeff Lacy tore his rotator cuff in the second round of a fight and finished it. It must have been very painful, but you figure he could grit it out for a little longer.

With millions of dollars on the line? I'm sorry but every single oilrigger,construction worker,or anyone who actually works hard for a living(I don't mean going to the gym.that's not working hard.working in 40 above & 40 below is working hard)has broken bones that didn't heal right or old or current injuries that are nagging but they make it to work so why can't a guy who makes millions of dollars & is winning the fight suck it up & play defence for 9 minutes? I have no respect for a guy who quits like that.if he was losing it's no big deal but for all those people who paid $$$ to see the fight & hbo to spend $$$ showcasing him...that's why vitali got crusified for years...its a hurt buisness.

because construction workers don't get hired/fired or paid by performance,if vitali were to hurt his arm really bad he probably wouldn't be as good as he is or probably wouldn't be able to fight anymore period.the only fighter i know that has fought with a torn rotator and went on to be a great or even a good boxer is floyd because after lacy tore his left rotator cuff he turned to ****

Oh for *** sake you think that every blue collar person in the world is this superman that works with like 6 broken bones and brain cancer and never calls into work ever. Seriously you are overexagerrating that because men like that are very very far and few between. Most of the blue collar people I know are the first people to call in sick to work as soon as they get a little sniffle. Look why do you think an athlete like Emmit Smith of the Dallas Cowboys was given so much praise when he played an entire football game in the dead of winter with a seperated shoulder? It's because even the toughest football players in the world wouldn't have done something like that. Thats what makes it so special!!! Not everyone can do it!!! if every fighter/athlete could play thru such horriable injuries than it wouldn't be a special thing now would it.

Again this is just another case of sports fans taking themselves way to seriously.
