Glad he did. But I wish he would come out of retirement and fight Dawson or the super six winner so we can see how good he really is.

He should retired anyway.Last fight he was crying all the time.
And for Dawson , let him think about Pascal first and will see.

if i was him i wouldn't have considered a Hopkins rematch either. good move not to comback for that fight. what would that prove? he may be able to beat Hopkins more convincingly this time around, but who wants to see it? only the Calzaghe haters (the ones who believe Hopkins won) think Hopkins is still a threat to him and would win a rematch. i say Joe beats him everytime.

a comeback to fight some of the younger, stronger guys out there would be interesting, but at this point in Calzaghe career i think that would be a serious risk. but a win over Dawson, Bute, winner of the super six, or even Pavlik would be pretty amazing.

also, we only need to look at Calzaghe's career to know how good he really is. i dont care if his whole career was in his homeland, or strictly in or around europe, because in boxing there is always someone who has your number, and to prove to be the best as many times as he has leaves little doubt that there were many american fighters during his prime that he wouldnt have matched up well against.

Who wants to see a rusty Calzaghe.
We know Hopkins is a tricky fighter. Hopkins would cause him much trouble.
            Stay retired Joe!

Dawson is my boy. But I want him to fight Pascal and Cloud more than anything
