Chris Byrds on negotiating with the Klitscko brothers

In an interview with On the ropes Chris Byrd said his deal included the following main points. (I found this on ESB)

Money is low for HW title fight
If you won you must fight the other Brother
The Klitscko would be allowed a tune up, he would not
If he wins both fights he get 20% of the purse in a re-match with the original brother

How come Ibragimov or Chagaev never had any problems negotiating with them? Byrd sounds very bitter.

I have said it before and i would say it again, K2 are worse than Don King...Reason? Because they hated King just like everyone else because of what he represent and the way he rub boxers the wrong way and for them (K2) to write contracts like that as fighters is totally ridiculous.

In the fights prior to 2004 it wasn't the Klits doing the negotiating, it was their promoter Kohl/Universum. The Klits went to court with Kohl in order to get out of their contracts with him.

The only time Byrd fought the bothers when they themselves (K2) were behind the negotiation table was in the Wlad - Byrd rematch (2006).

Considering that fight was a MANDATORY defense after Wlad became the mandatory challenger I don't see how Byrd can complain low purses and rematch clauses. There was not much to negotiate as there was an IBF mandated purse bid, there were no rematch clauses and there was no tune up. It was a mandatory IBF defense and Byrd lost.

What the hell is he talking about?

What bitterness got to do with this? Am sure chagaev/ibra had the same contract especially the fight my brother rematch.

LOL Ibragimov was a title unification = no rematch clause. You have zero clue about boxing.

The Klitschkos contract someone to a loss. There is no way haye will take this rubbish, they dont give anyone an incentive to fight them.Haye wont be pushed around,he's a champion in his own right and he doesnt need all these ****** rematch clauses.
