Do You Think Floyd Pacquaio Would Be A Mismatch?

Whenever I picture this fight in my mind i always think about floyd dominating manny with the jab and stopping manny in his tracks when he tries to push forward. I dont think the southpaw stance will give floyd any trouble because floyd has shown to be able to adapt to southpaw fighters in the later rounds.

So when you imagine this fight in your head, can you really see pacquaio penetrating floyds defence?

I think floyd would do a much much much better job at outboxing manny than erik morales.

    on the other hand:

If pacquaio holds back on his punches and doesn't over commit during the first 4 rounds than pacquiao has a real chance to win this fight. The reason is that floyd will not have any punch patterns to figure out during the first 4 rounds.

To prevent floyd from adapting you should not give away your punch patterns so early in the fight.

Manny is different fighter than when he fought Morales.

and Plus, Manny's key to beating Floyd is his footwork more than anything. Pacquiao has the things to trouble Floyd [great speed, southpaw, power in both hands]. Only way i see Pacquiao winning is if he comes in fast and effective and lands combinations. Floyd can't just jab Manny to death, I don't see that happening at all. Manny is too good of a fighter and too quick to let that happen. Manny also has stamina as well.

Certainly, Floyd will give Manny problems.

      Yes.
At a certain point, quantity becomes a quality on its own.
If Floyd ajdusts to the Pacattack, and there are few boxers out there
better at in-ring adjustment, without having taken too much damage
form it, then he'll run a clinic on Manny. If he can't adjust quickly, then
Manny will embarrass Floyd. I know that's oversimplifying things, but
this mediium of communication is what it is. (shrug)

I think floyd would do a much much much better job at outboxing manny than erik morales.
It's possible, but Erik succeeded in no small part because Manny doesn't
fight as effectively once you back him up, and Erik had the workrate to
do that. Floyd prefers to potshot, and has lost a step since retiring IMHO.
Manny has lost a lot of (relative) power, but not endurance, nor workrate.

Yes. Floyd has too many advantages. If you watch the 11th round to Floyd-Shane, I can't picture PAc standing up to a Floyd Mayweather coming forward. Pac won't be big enough to grab Floyd, and hold him like Shane did. I will call this one of the biggest upsets in my life time of watching boxing if Pac wins. I see this fight as a total mismatch. Pac won't be able to hit Floyd at will like he does all of his other opponents. Floyd tko in 9 or less.

The potshotting theory doesn't exist anymore. I don't know who came up wth that thought. Floyd is 33, and looking to mix it up as aging fighters do. Floyd has the reflexes to fight flat footed or box from afar. Pac has a snowballs chance in hell of beating Floyd imo.

                Yes definitely.

I can see Manny throwing so many, from all angles, with traps, and with speed and power, and keeping his footwork to match Floyd while keeping in range that Floyd will run on the ropes with his hands up.

Manny might beat Floyd by quite a few rounds if he decides to stand toe to toe when hurt. They way he fought JMM and Mosely is not the ebst way to defeat Manny, not this Manny who is so comfortable at this weight.

The punches you don't see hurt, and Manny has enough physical attributes to make Floyd incredibly uncomfortable.

Yes people say manny has no boxing skills, but his footwork is probably the best in the game right now. He slides along the canvas like an ice skater slides on ice. It is amazing.

I see a one-sided fight and victory for Mayweather and a stoppage if he backs manny off, Pac cant really fight on the backfoot, He loves coming forward and if Mayweather makes him come forward then i see Pac taking it, But Mayweather is stronger, better technically and smarter in the ring so i expect to see him backing manny off and stopping him.
