But Manny won't get 50% now
    that's fine by me...

floyd fans and pac fans have that in common. they both want the fight.

Is pacman not entitled to a change of heart? I think it's better that Manny changed heart and agree to the f---ing random testing of Mayweather just to make the fight. A true boxing fan should welcome this. It is also true with Mayweather, he's entitled to also change heart and agree to fight Pacman. Otherwise, he will always be thought of ducking the pacman.

What if Floyd will come back from his vacation after 2 years after he will spend all his millions? How long do you think you can wait?

        • [QUOTE=baracuda;8522788]the only great fighter who asks for special rules is floyd!.........why is that?....lol[/QUOTE

baracuda you could try thinking before you type "DUMB" quotes. You see dude ASKING to fight a welterweight for HIS title but coming in at a catchweight is ASKING for special rules is it not? ASKING to drain a man ala Delahoya to the point that he has to inject himself with needles is indeed ASKING for special rules.

Those websites, especially the Examiner wouldn't make those things up, would they?

I was thinking the exact same thing. If Arum has admitted that the "silence has been deafening", then how did the report circulate about Floyd wanting more money. Either they have been negotiating or not, and if the Mayweather's have not said a word (according to Bob Arum)? Then how in the hell can Floyd simultaneously request more money? Something does not make sense here, I'm just saying.

yeah, you gonna throw the 10 million dollar weight class ****, and floyd isn't required to take that either. but he did. good for him.

point here is, both are big time fighters, and doesn't have to bend over to anyone's demands.
He's only required to breathe. So again...what do you mean by "more than fair"?

Fair is fair and what pac offered was the best option for a fight of this magnitude, only dumb *****s would say floyd deserves more or osts up to the fight.
Sorry Fcastro, but you are factually incorrect. These are Pac's real numbers

Pacquiao has earned $21 million from the following fights:
                $2 million—against Erik Morales (January 2006)
                $1 million—against Oscar Larios (July 2006)
                $3 million—against Erik Morales (November 2006)
                $2 million—against Jorge Solis (April 2007)
                $2 million—against Marco Antonio Barrera (October 2007)
$11 Mill – against Dela Hoya (December 2008)

So if he made $11 Mill dollars fighting Oscar, who else is going to fight that will bring him anywhere near that amount of money other than Floyd? So who is he going to fight that will bring him "almost $15 Million in every fight"?
Now Pac did get $22 Mill for Cotto which was impressive, but 15 Million is a bit much cosidering the remaining competition. I would think

What people I guess dont know is that Al Haymon is the person that wanted OST because he knew or heard rumors that pacquiao was juicing.

And floyd is not the first fighter to ask for blood testing. Zab Judah vs Shane Mosley fell through because judah wanted shane to take a blood test before he would fight him but shane and richard schaefer refused. Mike Tyson wanted Evander Holyfield to take a drug test for their second fight but he refused. Evander does have a big ****ing head!! So according to some people's logic Zab Judah was scared of Shane, I highly doubt it. And Mike Tyson was scared of Evander, highly doubt it.

Let's say I offer you a job making 25 dollars an hour you ask for 75 per hour I meet in the middle and say 50 per hour because you are a good talent, you come back and tell me that naw you dont want the job. Do you actually think that you can come back 3 months later and say alright I will accept the 50 per hour when I already hired someone for 25 per hour?

                    this is pissing contest.
Generally speaking, I would be inclined to agree with you on this. But if Floyd is agreeing to items or request by Manny, that are not required by the commission (i.e 10 mill dollar weight penalty). Then why should Manny not agree to some items not required by the commission? Like the old saying goes, what's good for the goose, is good for the gander. Both of these teams and fighters will need to compromise/negotiate to make the fight. But Manny has put himself in a difficult position to negotiate from. You can't say "Floyd you are the boxing commission, we don't have to agree to anything you want that is outside of the commissions rules, Oh by the way we would like a enforce our own monetary penalty, if you don't make weight". Difficult perspective to swallow, because Floyd has already agreed to an item that Manny proposed that was not exactly in the rule book.

he's been saying since he came back that ALL roads lead to floyd mayweather. last time when pacquiao refused the test, which they are now pretty much admitting was the reason for the fight not happening, they kept the same fight date as a way of showing that they did not need mayweather and that business would precede as usual.

now pacquiao comes out, says he will take the test BUT, under his own terms, not mayweather's, and expects things to speed into motion. he has come to mayweather, just as mayweather expected when he picked mosley as an opponent, and now all the cards are in mayweather's hands.

he's on vacation with his family. i'm sure he will handle business when he comes back. he doesn't need to fight pacquiao to add to his legacy or make another 20 or so million. we, as fans (and haters), want this fight so it would only make sense to show some patience.
