He beat the man making him the man.

He can sell out the 20000 seater MEN arena in minutes. The big money is in Manchester so why travel? Why do you think Kostya travelled to England? Because he got the biggest purse of his career.

As for the proposed Maussa fight, easy night for Hatton. He'd stop him in eight and gain another recognised belt without too much trouble.

Warren is right on two counts:

      1) Harris is an idiot. For disrespecting the game, the fans and himself by showing up needing an early KO.

      2) Nobody is excited about Maussa-Harris II. So why would we want Maussa-Anybody right now? It's a strap for just about any of the top JrWelters, if they want to get it that way, but it won't be a big bargaining chip for a payday, since it'll come so easy.

Hatton, ignore Maussa and think bigger, please.

I didn't say it was a fight of the year candidate.

        But I'm guessing HBO would...

This fight will introduce Hatton more to the American public that saw Maussa destroy Harris. Whne Hatton destroys Maussa he will get some attention to those that don't know anything about boxing. Not everyone is an expert, that's how Tyson fights get marketed, even Mayweather vs Gatti.

EDIT: O, I think someone said that Hatton is staying overseas, this is a MAJOR mistake on his part.

It would be nice to think that we'd have Hatton-Maussa and Floyd-Cotto eliminators setting up an undisputed 140 championship fight...but Warren is an ass, and it's likely he'll make excuses until Floyd gets fed up and goes to welter, and then he'll pair Hatton up with whatever chump gets his vacated belt. Then Hatton will be undisputed even though he didn't deserve it, and we'll all be pissed off.

Here's hoping that that is an overly pessimistic assessment of the situation.

I think this would be a good fight with Maussa, it would be more money than he has ever made before, and im sure he is up for it. Go Maussa!!!! Of course the only reason Warren wants this fight to happen is because it would seem to be the easiest of all other belt holders. If this fight happens ill be cheering for Maussa to pull out another upset!

if anyone is looking at fighting maussa, i consider them a *****...........what's all this talk of hatton and mayweather wanting to fight him all of a sudden just to get the belt.

we might as well ask tszyu to challenge him for his belt....but what recognition will that gain.......

only harris or another outside contender should have the right to fight maussa...

If Hatton does this, I lose mad respect for him. The fight is with Mayweather, and it is NOT in England. Time for Hatton to travel and fight in the only place it matters: the States

if hatton even thinks of fighting maussa, many will lose respect for him......

although i did predict that he would continue fighting lower tier fighters after his tszyu fluke.....

i just hope he doesn't do this.......and everyone in the U.S would lose respect for him too...
