For PPV's they should do 15 rounds.

have you ever seen any of the old fights? after the 12 round most fighters are so tired they are just surviving on boxing instinct.

I'd like to see Mayweather vs. Pacquiao in a 15 rounder.

yeah this is an excellent point. Shotime, HBO and PPV don't have to worry about commercials, plus they have sister channels to play their other programing as well. Also, since boxing is done later at night, they don't have to worry about squeezing their popular shows in as they can all be air prior to start of these boxing matches.

I'm alright with 12, since I've grown up on those. Besides, I think attention spans have lowered significantly over the past 2 decades to the point where casual TV audiences wouldn't have the time for 15 rounds.

Boxing is a great sport, but getting punched on the head over and over again isn't great for your health. The less of that the better.
Well if that is the case and the fighters have died in 10-12 rounds should all fight be 8 rounders? To really make sure nobody dies?

We are acting like fighters have not died in the 12 round era. it's mostly incompetent referees and handlers who don't protect fighters enough by beatdowns. If we have better refs, like we should anyways and handlers to protect a fighter. Then 15 or 13 would really not be that bad.

Guys like Taylor and Cotto would never have went far in 15 rounders.

You have a point. But then they do a lot of replays on channels like ESPN where they do.
