People also fail to realize that 130 isn't that storied of a division at all, just like 154, 168 and cruiserweight. So to be the best in those division really isn't much of a feat, considering that most of the ATG's either fought at 126, or if they were too big they just campaigned at 135.

Now I do think Willie Pep or Henry Armstrong along with Alexis Arguello could have beaten Floyd, but obviously we would never know.

Hector Camacho, while not known as an ATG there, was unbelievably fast and talented at the weight. Mayweather sort of has problems with quick southpaws, and Camacho was the fastest I think Ive ever seen.

Azumah Nelson was a very good fighter, who gave Pernell quite a tough time...and that was a Pernell that was forced to throw over a thousand punches to keep him off.(unless Im mistaken)

Alexis Arguello, although I think Mayweather had the style to beat him, was certainly no pushover and could change a fight quickly with his pinpoint punching power and body work.
Do you think any of these fighters beat Floyd at 130 lbs? please be honest...im not saying he is unbeatable but i just want you to be as honest as you can about this.

People who keep bringing the castillo fight up yet ignore the facts, and the facts were that it was floyds first proper fight at lightweight and he went from jesus chavez at 130 pounds to castillo at 135 who was the lightweight champion of the world and a big lightweight who outweighed floyd, in his first proper lightweight bout he fought the champion even though floyd had an injury and literally fought with one arm through out the whole fight! The rematch proved it, when floyd won clearly, plus this is about 130 pounds.

You have to calculate the circumstances properly. I dont see anyone beating floyd at 130 lbs, an injured floyd fighting at lightweight has nothing to do with how floyd would do anyone at super featherweight.

its funny if you think chavez would give him hell based on how chavez got a lucky win against meldrick taylor in the first fight, but we know meldrick taylor got hit quiet a lot and floyd is one of the best defensive fighters in the world, i dont know how many punches chavez would connect on floyd..also chavez struggled against juan laporte and rocky lodridge at super featherweight, two guys who arent in the class of mayweather.

Chavez was green at super featherweight he wasnt as good as he was at 140, floyd was at his absolute best at super featherweight.

give me some NON-biased honest opinions, thanks.

unless you are a legit boxing historian or you've seen every 130 lbs fight since the division was created, no one can take this thread seriously.

That was Floyds 2nd fight at 135, he fought Emanuel Augustus a few fights earlier.

Mayweather is definatley an ATG at the weight class, however, its pure nuthugging to claim he will destroy anyone ever at that weight class. That's like saying Pac would beat any 126'er for beating MAB and EM, two guys who are probably ranked higher ATG than anyone Floyd fought @ 130/135.
lol @ you discrediting what floyd did at 130. you realise anyone can do that against any fighter even manny pacquiao.

who would you pick to beat floyd at 130? Tell me...thanks

I'm not sure if anyone at 135, 140 or 147 could beat him either

i didnt even say that lol...i said no one in the history of 130 lbs could have a W over the Mayweather who fought at 130 lbs, he was just the most complete fighter in that division ever.

you do realise why i highlighted proper fight at lightweight? augustus was a one-off deal because i remember emanuel couldnt make weight for 130 pounds, augustus was a non-title stay busy one-off fight.
