The one who beats Floyd is the one who cuts the ring to chase him and throw him off that advantage, his ring generalship.

Well Pac's the best at cutting the ring in half IMO to chase an opponent, and we'll see what happens...
haha, cant wait to see your excuse when pac gts tossed up.

    and to the OP,

    and hes still dominate! haha

I think there are a number of factors behind this:
      1. He's more methodical about picking his opponents apart.
      2. Less chances of hurting his hands
      3. Stronger opponents so leaves them less openings
      4. Floyd Sr being back in his corner, he got kind of sloppy fighting like roger
when his father left but now Sr is back on his ass about fighting smart.
      5. Doesnt need to be exciting to make alot of money off his fights.
      6. Age

Had more but my mind just went blank.

If you check the averages for his weight class you will notice that floyd throws less punches than the average but lands more and has a higher connect percentage than the average. Its just like a job when you first get hired it takes you more time to do something but the more you get accustomed to the job the more productive you come. You do more work in 8 hours than you did when you first got hired. Floyd does more work throwing 40 punches a round than someone that throws 50, 60 or even 70 punches per round.

Anyway I agree with ur point about ppl being negative....end of the day the point is valid, Floyd is less busy, but it's cause of his efficiency, he can beat a man without exerting himself too much
What other current fighter has made the dough that Floyd has made. He supposedly has a tune up in July in Africa but none the less I will only exort this when FLOYD moved up to 135/140 and fought Augustus, Corley he tried to do the same as he did at 130 but found out quickly the guys are quicker and stronger. These are two fights where you see Floyd bleeding and get tagged very hard. I appreciate the fact that he stood toe to toe but theres no use in doing that unless your trying to please the crowd. Which I think he was, but no one will give him credit for those fights. After that I think he learned and started to hone his defensive skills even more to preserve his longevity in Boxing and make as much cash as humanly possible.

Question one for anyone. Why throw 1200 punches during a fight and connect on only 20-30% if you can throw 400 and connect on 50% or better. I think you want get tred as fast or countered as much. It may be exciting but the long term punishment may leave something to be desired. LOL good thread.

That happens to nearly every fighter as they move up. It's called age and slowing down due to added weight.

Because he's usually fighting guys that outweigh him by 10+ pounds in the ring, his power hasn't really carried up with him, and he has to concentrate more on defense. That and he does have rather small, fragile hands.

I'd include Floyd in the list of guys like Haye and Adamek that were more fun to watch at the lower weights. Be great if Floyd and Pac joined Bradley, Khan, Alexander, Maidana, etc at 140 for a tourney.
