Its amazing how Floyd's workrate has reduced since 130 lbs. I mean floyd used to be a monster, but now he throws way below the WW average. He's so inactive in the ring that volume punchers like pwill can beat him.

just go back to the diego corrales (R.I.P.) fight. he was throwing tons of punches from all kinds of angles. Eventually he stopped diego.

now look at the dlh fight. floyd barely threw any punches at all and the fight went to a split decision. if floyd just let his hands go more, he would've won by a wider margin.

Its sad to see such a great boxer reduce his workrate and become a boring boxer. Floyd was at his best at 130 lbs. He was a spectacular boxer then. At 130 lbs, without reducing his punch output, he could've stopped JMM.

Floyd needs to get his punch stats up. that's a glaring whole in his game.

That is BS!!!!! Floyd would school Williams and give him a boxing lesson. That dude loves to get hit with right hands and Floyd has a great one.

Either he's protecting his hands or his accuracy is so good he can beat you without throwing combinations...DLH's jab gave him problems...although he still won that fight to most observers...

He's not in his physical prime anymore but he's never been better mentally...

And Paul Williams would not beat Floyd...too many holes in his game...you take away P.Will's workrate and he'll have tons of problems...

He developed supreme ring generalship, he uses the ring in his fullest potential onto his advantage. And when you can use that like Floyd, then he don't even need to throw a lotta punches, but only his sharp accurate counters, which worked well for him past 130lbs.

The one who beats Floyd is the one who cuts the ring to chase him and throw him off that advantage, his ring generalship.

Well Pac's the best at cutting the ring in half IMO to chase an opponent, and we'll see what happens...

It is amazing that such an amazing drop off has not cost him virtually at all against quality opposition~.

You would think one of the champions he faced would have been able to use something like that to an advantage.

                Strange indeed~

Excellent point. Floyd has slowed down in volume, but I think it is because he has learned to become more efficient. He picks and chooses the best and most effective times to throw. This fight should be very interesting.

yep. I mean its strange how floyd retired exactly when he should've fought margo, cotto, and mosley. instead he waited for them all to bash each other's brains out, and then he made his comeback.

                    strange indeed.
