In terms of effectiveness I think Floyd's is better because he puts himself in great positions to counter also. Pernell was an expert at making you miss but he didnt follow up like Mayweather does. Pernell used to make you miss when jab you or hit you to the body, Wheras Floyd counters with power shots because the shoulder roll is excellent for coming back with a right hand.

For you guys who say that MAYWEATHER is a better defensive fighter than WHITAKER, HOW LONG HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN WATCHING BOXING? WHITAKER is the greatest defensive fighter EVER! PERIOD! WILLIE PEP is number 2, and MAYWEATHER is 3rd. WHITAKER was a boxing GOD and in my top 5 to ever lace up gloves. Would MAYWEATHER look this GOOD had he been fighting fighters in their primes?
