First knockdown was a left hook early into the 10th round. Corrales was up at the count of 9. Weeks walked Corrales into the corner and advised Goosen to re-insert the mouthpiece and a non-verbal warning was issued. The second knockdown was a right uppercutt followed by short left hook by Castillo. Diego Spits out the mouthpiece and is up by the count of 9 again. Weeks took ONE POINT OFF. Castillo chased Corrales around the ring expecting to finish:

and got his ass handed to him with huge power shots sending him into the ropes ungaurded and almost dead on his feet.

Castillo will give anyone problems that he fights and in a rematch he always has a chance. but he cannot be so hasty against corralles. coralles has shown in more than one fight that even till the last drop he has unimaginable power. Look at his first fight with Joel Cassamayor. Cass had him in trouble and he rushed in and bammm coralles had him on ***** street. if the fight had not been stopped there was a real chance that cass could have gotten knocked out.

I would advise Morales to take this match. I am sure that his management and promoter will not allow him to be forced into wearing gigantic gloves like he did when he fought paquio. Remember the stipulation that Bob arum put in thier contract? Corrales wouldnt go for that.

Yeah he spit out the mouthpiece but he got docked a point and sure as hell knocked Castillo the **** out. That is nobody's fault but Castillo's. In a rematch, Chico works the jab and throws straight rights and left hooks all night. Castillo won't last near as long IMO.

WTF you talking about?Corrales has always been a inside fighter.Sure,he's shown the ability to jab and box from the outside, but he's most comfortable fighting on the inside. It's just Castillo is one of the few that's willing to stay inside and exchange with Chico.

Chico knows he cant **** with Castillo on the inside,or else it'l be the same type of fight as it was the first time around. He'l try boxing but that wont last a round, because Castillo is one of the best at getting on the inside, and frustrating his opponents..Castillo will time his lefthook better against Corrales's clumsy defense and KO him.Easy fight for Castillo.

He cannot keep up that running pace. Diego always does better in rematches and I think he would do better against JLC as well. leave him alone at 135 you know?
I think Freitas has a shot. He had a huge lead but got tired the last time. If he shortens his punches and moves around alittle less and avoids being stuck in the corner.. he has a shot

thanks zab for the article. this fight with morales would fit right in.a fight with morales would be more than a tuneup.and we would be able to see if chico left anything behind in the castillo. chico needs a slight break from hard fights, not that morales would be easy, but i don't want to see corrales fighting war after wars straight in a row.which is what would happen if he moves up and fights a hatton or pbf.

a morales fight then a judah147 would fit right in for a hungry corrales. then a sweet revenge with mayweather.

corrales should stay away from mosley.
