Chico pulled out a miricle to win that fight. Not only that but he cheated. If Chico doesn't get the extra time with the mouth guard & the point deduction. He doesn't win that fight. Simple as that. I'm not trying to take anything away from him, what he did was amazing, but IMO he has done nothing that suggests to me he can move past Castillo. Nothing was decided in thier first fight.

Corrales IMO has no right to fight anyone else.
Thank God there is people with common sense left in the sport of boxing.Diego will not get away with the **** he pulled the first time, that is if he really want to get back in with Castillo.
If he meant what he said then he must be over the body punishment he took. Im sure Castillo is very anxious to make him remember again.

No one has ever accused Pommy of having common sense before.

      Wonders will never cease.

Im not defending Corrales, and am more of a Castillo fan. All I am pointing out is:

1.) He took the mouthpiece out and fumbled it with his gloves because he could not grip it.

2.) He spit the mouthpiece out, and was deducted 1 point in doing so, which gave JLC the lead on the cards big time in coalition with the two knockdowns.

3.) He knocked JLC out cold and would have killed him if the ref did not step in.

Yeah a rematch bet Castillo and Corrales will erase all doubts. Castillo has a good start but wouldn't finish. Corrales was lucky as he's on the verge of being counted out. I'll bet on Castillo in a rematch.

People always talk about how Chico cheated but he got deducted a point and IMO the KO was Castillo's fault for going in on Corrales and trying to knock him out. If he would have just fought a safer fight from that time on he would have won the fight easily. But I can't fault the guy for being a warrior. The best fighter won is the only way I can put it.

Basic facts. Another thing I have a hard time understanding, and am not pointing fingers at ANYONE in THIS thread.......but others I have read......is this:

Why is it, people cried "fix" in the Cotto v.s. Corley fight...and blamed the referee for stopping it when Corley was down 5 times....and on the fifth time: Took a ***** ass knee.

Funny how Corley is a folk hero and Diego is a villain. LOL.

I think taking a knee after 3 times in a fight should result in an automatic disqualification: let alone them deducting points for doing so.

Why dont you ever mention the knockdowns Castillo had on Corrales?Or maybe the fact that Chico was a split second away from being counted out? When will the ignorance end.

No one from 135 to 140 will have an easy fight with Castillo, whether it's knocking him out or beating him on points.Mayweather could barely beat Castillo on points and Chico had to go through hell to KO Castillo.I'l say it now,Corrales get's KTFO in the rematch.

HAHA!! Actually Corrales fought Castillo's fight last time. He went inside with Castillo, where JLC wanted them to be, and boxed him toe-to-toe and ended up winning. Yeah he spit out the mouthpiece but he got docked a point and sure as hell knocked Castillo the **** out. That is nobody's fault but Castillo's. In a rematch, Chico works the jab and throws straight rights and left hooks all night. Castillo won't last near as long IMO.
