I dont think Floyd should ever fight in an official catchweight fight. It would only tarnish his legacy in my opinion, I like that in the end it was a welterweight not catchweight fight.

LOL there are some issues with weight at any division below 168. There is a huge difference at lighter weights such as bantam, even a change in division. If 2 lbs wasn't such a huge difference why wouldn't there be any room to come in over weight. Hell even Pavlik tried to fight Martinez at a catch weight of 164, 4 pounds was a huge difference at that weight. How big a difference do you think it makes with someone who is weight drained coming in at 147. The lowest he came in was 146 in the last 4 years. That is ridiculous, you think it is easy to lose another pound or 2 pounds when you are at like 2% body fat at best. Seriously you are depleting liquids your body needs so that you can lose weight, it seriously weakens you. But then again you guys are use to seeing Pacman fight drained fighters. So you are use to a Morales that looks pale at the weight in, or a DLH that is pale at the weigh in. Even that old beat looking DLH would have dropped Pacman if he had not been dehydrated. He even said that he could hit Pacman and it would move him but there was nothing left in the tank, sorry but some of that is weight drain.

If it wasn't such a big deal why the hell was it written into the contract is my question?

yes.cotto was chinny below 147.thats a fact.corley almost put him out and he had about a 15lb weight advantage at 140.at 147,he took big punches from mosley, judah, clottey and likely a plastered up rito.these are facts.its not a coincidence

In all those fights Cotto weight under 147.

I am not arguing that Cotto was chinny and at 140. Even though he was not always chinny at 140. But, later in his career he did become chinny at 140.

What I asked you was was he chinny at 145 but not at 147? 140 has nothing to do with the question I am asking. I am asking about 145.

And, I remind you again that you're saying he was chinny under 147. And, it is a FACT that Cotto weight under 147 for Mosley, Judah, and Clottey.

Marquez was forced to move up 2 divisions, and was cheated 2 lbs in the process.

no he didnt.he was at the limit of 147 for clottey and rito and gomez.and weighed 1461/4 for the rest of his fights

cotto has only fought once at 145 and he was very chinny in that fight.so yes he's chinny at 145

and theres a big difference btween coming in at a limit of 145 as oppose to just coming in a fight less than 147.do you understand 145 was the max he could weigh for thaT FIGHT

I stopped reading right there cuz you do not know what you talking about. He weight in at 146 for Clottey. The fight next = 1 pound less. And, if that made him chinny then fine I guess.

To get an advantage? But,what I don't understand is taht he was not chiinny and had bad stamina problems when he fought under 147 gainst Shane, Judah, Clottey. But, fighting Pac 1-1 1/2 pounds less made him chinny? Maybe you can explain it better than the other dude can?

But, basically what I am getting is that Cotto was drained at 145 and that is the reason that Pac won? OK....
