If anyone believes this, they must think that Hatton can somehow develop a combination of speed, power, aggression and overall skill etc. that beats Mayweather's combo of speed, power agression and skill. Right now, after seeing the Zoo matchup, Hatton doesn't seem to have that combo.

But, Hatton fans don't need to worry because his trainer has a "blue print"? What could it be, really? How do you overcome May's skills without gettin' dirty? Or, maybe that "blue print" assumes that Hatton's chin can easily take May's best shots, which leaves Hatton to charge straight forward like he did against Zoo?

First point I want to make is, 2005 is shaping up to be a great year for boxing and fans alike! IMO big name fighters like Mayweather,Hatton,Castillo,Corrales,Pacquino, etc. are bringing boxing back to its old glory days.

Second point is, a Mayweather-Hatton matchup is a great matchup in the sense the it would be considered a "superfight" even if Hatton is outclassed because both fighters have huge fan bases.
Hatton is a brawler and tough-guy like Gatti and I think he leaves himself too open to a fighter like Mayweather to survive 12 rounds.

The more I think about I really think hatton should matchup with cotto first before even looking at mayweather. It's weird if mayweather had fought gatti, cotto or hatton the way he did corley I think he would be much more likely to get Koed by one of them but since the gatti fight mayweather went back to his slick boxing style of landing shots and moving making the other person miss, if he keeps using this style I wouldn't really give any of them a chance against him.

Just like the saying goes, speed kills and it will in this matchup or mismatch! How ever people percieve it?

People were blinded by their fanboynism so they wanted to give Gatti a shot.

Hatton will fight like castillo, dirtier, faster, stronger = better chance of beating PBF. PBF speed will be neutralised when hatton ties him up or pressures him up close.

Leaving yourself open constantly, and seeing how Mayweather takes advantage of stuff like that, i dont see how Hatton is even gonna want to come inside and try to bully him. Mayweather will likely lure Hatton into thinking he can do that and then stop him in his tracks, Mayweather is too smart for that ****. Hes too fast, and Hatton is only gonna take so much until he may get frustrated at the style, PBF isnt Tszyu, PBF doesnt need distance to be effective.

I also dont see Hatton outboxing him, Hatton cant beat Mayweather to the punch, we will just have to see this ****.

Ricky's got a milk cow in Manchester and he knows it.

Hatton's homeboys wouldn't care if Ricky got soundly beat by Mayweather, they'd probably all still show-up the very next Saturday night in droves to see Ricky then face Cotto, or me for that matter. But, if all Ricky's fights are stateside, he'd probably take a longer slower path to Mayweather, through Cotto and some of Mayweather's victims.

If there is 1 fight that i dont want to see is cotto againt mayweather, I dont think cotto is there yet. He needs a bit more before going in the ring with PBF. Now Hatton and mayweather i would like to see, just because I dont think PBF would loose.

Hatton has no shot if they fight in the states. But if I'm Floyd, no way in HELL do I go over there. It's time Hatton fought in somebody's backyard

Even if you've only seen Hatton fight once, doesn't matter. It's universally accepted that he will come forward, pretty much charging, in order to get the inside fight started.

Zoo stood pretty much flat footed and waited for Hatton to come to him. Zoo adjusted a bit and started to fade backward as Hatton came in, but he gave Ricky no lateral movement at all.
Mayweather would never be bullied into fighting the way Zoo did, which is what Ricky needs to win.
