    1. How do you see this match up? Is Mayweather-Hatton simply a longer version of Gatti, say 9 or 10 rounds? Or, does Hatton have what it takes to actually connect on May and make it competitive?

    2. Are you interested in seeing this fight, based on how you see it going?

Hatton is a very smart fighter, his pressure style alone will give Mayweather trouble.I think Hatton's style is similar to Castillo's,and we all know the trouble Castillo gave Mayweather. That being said,I don't see this fight being lopsided at all.If it's in England,i'l give Hatton the edge on points.

If there is one fight that Hatton should not come to the states for it would be against Floyd...

Hatton needs to be in Manchester against PBF, plus there is more money in the fight over there then there would be in the states.

Hatton is the only guy at 140 who would have a shot at Floyd, his phone booth style is the only way to hit a fighter like Floyd...sure Floyd has moments where he seems hitable (Burton/Corley) but when he is serious and the stage is his no one can lay a glove on him...

I would love to see Hatton v. Mayweather...it is the only shot at a defeat for PBF at 140.

My hat goes off to Floyd, he is the most talented fighter I have ever seen fight. Saturday night Floyd look like he was in the Matrix.

If Hatton is unable to hold, headbutt, elbow and punch Mayweather in the balls, than I think he will lose.

Mayweather is too smart and skilled, he won't get into a brawl with Hatton. His speed will catch Hatton coming in, and he can get out at will. Mayweather will **** Hatton up IMO.

I wish this fight could happen by late sept. but it probably wont. I mean I love Gatti, but Floyd can fight tomorrow if he wants to, and Hatton fought close to a month ago. The Harris/Maussa rematch can be on the undercard as well as Cotto fighting somebody.

it will be a tragedy if Hatton - Mayweather doesn't happen, and soon... the more top guys fight each other, the better boxing will be.

I don't think that Hatton can beat Mayweather - I don't think that anyone will be able to beat that guy until he gets older and slower - but a pressure fighter like Hatton would have a better chance than most and who knows, it might even end up being a semi-competetive fight.

The main question here is: Are they gonna fight in Manchester or the U. S.? If they fight in Manchester I could see Hatton scoring an upset using tactics similar to ones in the Tyzyu bout. If the fight is in the U. S. we could see a WAY different fight. In the United States I think Mayweather will beat him similar to Gatti just not as one-sided.

Hatton moves in quickly and has does great body work but he still gets koed for several reasons. For one when Hatton rushes in he leaves himself open especially up the middle. Secondly, Floyds foot work will give Hatton hell, Hatton will rush in get hit and Floyd will move and reset. Against Zoo Hattons inside tactics worked because ZOo likes to fight from a distance but is more vulrenable inside while Floyd is a great inside fighter.

Hatton will win this fight but points or very late stoppage.

PBF beat Gatti impressively, but Gatti is old and tired... Hatton is a whole different ball game.

Hatton may lose a lot of the earlier rounds, but he'll up the pace, and up the pace, and up the pace, as the fight goes on... To the point where Mayweather can't stop or change the way the fights going.

+ Hatton is bigger and stronger than Mayweather.

Its funny how people are comparing Hatton to the Gatti that fought saturday night. Its silly for 2 reasons, 1 being that Gatti boxed that night, Hatton style is completely different. 2nd being that Hatton is leagues away in terms of skill from Gatti, I said it all along that Gatti is a C-level fighter and PBF said it all along. People were blinded by their fanboynism so they wanted to give Gatti a shot.

Hatton will fight like castillo, dirtier, faster, stronger = better chance of beating PBF. PBF speed will be neutralised when hatton ties him up or pressures him up close.

PBF by late stoppage or UD no matter where the fight is. Even if the best referee in the world worked the Hatton/Tszyu fight that night, Hatton would have won. He fought the perfect fight by staying on Tszyu, not letting him have space to throw that right hand and eventually wearing him down. I know for everyone one who saw the fight, Hatton left himself open a majority of the night for Tszyu to land big shots and when he would land a shot it had nothing on it because he was worn down by Hatton's aggressivness. Now, against PBF the hardest thing Hatton will have trouble doing is getting a shot on Floyd. Conserving punches will be very important because as many punches as Hatton throws, fatigue will become an even bigger issue against a slick and fundamentally sound boxer like Floyd. If he does leave himself open as often as he does, PBF will end it inside of six because Hatton swells up around the eyes very easily. PBF (along with)"Winky" Wright are the best two fighter in boxing when it comes to defense and ring smarts. This will be the biggest advantage PBF would have over "The Hitman". I can't believe Hatton's trainer said on Sky Sports 1 "we have been looking at Floyd for the past two years and we have the blueprint to beating PBF" and used the Lenard/Duran as his analogy. If I we're the Hatton Camp, my best friend(if this the next fight for either)just became the only to have an unofficial victory against PBF(just the judges did not see it that way in the first fight), Jose Luis Castillo. Hatton does posses the technical skill JLC has, but Ricky is a very fast learner from what I have seen in his last six fights and he can make the adjustments. The one adjustment he will not be able to adjust to is the lighting hand speed of Floyd. PBF/JLC fight was three years ago and since their last fight, Floyd has improved so much that the "so call" experts really don't see PBF losing until he reaches 147 or 154 in which I tend to agree(with exception that I don't believe he can beat Antonio Margarito, I see the same him as I saw in JLC when he and PBF first met, on a bigger version of JLC.)
