Vitali knocks guys out. Simple as that. He knows what you are doing and you don't klnow what he's going to do. That's the beauty of his style.

Vitali is a top ten ATG Hw.
I thought it was a good post until I read the last line.
Who has he beat that make him a top 10 HW ?
He's not even top 30 at this moment.

Bah, I've always refrained from engaging in any of these "top 10 ATG" discussions. I consider Vitali to be a great champion for his time - I don't feel the need to compare him to other fighters in different eras, who fought different opposition. It becomes a pointless "what if" kinda thing.

Or to put it another way, it's like arguing over who's greater between Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna or Juan Manuel Fangio in F1 - there are huge variables all over the place (even though they involve machines, but still).

Vitali is 6'7". It should be expected that he is significantly less coordinated than athletes who are a foot shorter than him.

I agree those discussions aren't really worthwhile, but I get a bit pissed when I hear people calling RJJ the GOAT or Vitali a top 10 AT HW, cause those statements are based on nothing solid except the unconditional love of who makes the statement for the fighter

that's a good point, but his brother who is only an inch shorter is way more coordinated and fluid, so....

Not to mention Khan screaming like a goddamn maniac in there. :laff: "Overcompensating much?" was my first thought when I saw it.

Those open work-out sessions mean jack-****. I saw Kessler looking awful as well. Totally unable to hit the speedball more than 4 times in succession.

I didn't think the shouting was meant to impress. Some fighters do it, some fighters don't. Devon Alexander does it too.

Was it before fighting Calzaghe or before fighting Ward ?

Just watched the Sosnowski open work out...

I didn't like his pad workout, he looked soooooooooo stiff. Maybe it was just the nervosity of being on such a big stage with the media and all.

However, from what I've seen of him (maybe 5 or 6 fights), he always fights stiff, which is not good news. If he could just relax a bit, it would be better for him.

Vitali is not a fluid fighter, but he does fight relax, which is a good thing.

Sosnowski does have good footwork and foot speed, and he can put punches together, mix it up to the body and to the head. But he better not be that stiff when he fights Vitali, he has to be much more relax. If he fights stiff, he's going to get brutally ko'ed.
