    Just watched Vitali's open workout...

...and I felt embarrassed for him.

Vitali looked like he had no idea what he was doing in there.

At the beginning, he was circling around the ring to warm-up, and even doing that, he looked like he had no idea what he was doing. No footwork display. Just clueless circling. And the music to which he trained ****** big time (but that's not important). He shadowboxed a bit, which was ok.

Then, some mitts work. Again, he looked like he didn't know what combination his trainer wanted him to throw, his timing was off a lot, but he had some good sequences and displayed good handspeed for a man his age. But it was to remain his best moment...

Then, jumping rope. God, that was awful... He was jumping for about 15-20 seconds, missed, started again. He didn't look like much of a boxer. I have never seen a champion having such a hard time with basic rope jumping. Watch Mayweather workout, then watch Vitali. Night and day. Watch Frazier workout, watch Vitali, Still night and day.

After jumping rope, it was time for some ballerine dancing. No kidding, just watch it, you'll see for yourself. Vitali was spinning like a ballerine. Never heard of that training exercise. Anyway.

There was also some tennis time. Vitali was exchanging a tennis ball with his trainer. Throwing it at each other. Yes. No kidding.

Richardson towel training method doesn't look all that ****** next to ballerine dancing and tennis ball exchanges.

It's a bad thing Vitali is fighting Zuri Lawrence's victim this saturday. Otherwise, I would have bet on the underdog.

I dunno, I thought it was pretty cool. Nice and laid back, a bit of fun. It's not as if he needs to going all-out at his age, and considering who his opponent is.

It's clear to see that a lot of these young guys have something to prove even in the open pad workouts - Khan, for example, yelling out at the top of his lungs with every little shot was embarrassing to watch. That, and watching him nervously miss and hit Roach on occasion...

Well he doesn't want to look too good or it'll just send Haye further into hiding.

haha, I have to watch this...

of course Vitali doesn't have to put on a show at an open work out, but damn, come on, his rope jumping was awful, that should not have been, confusion punching the mitts should not have been either

as for the other training methods like ballerine dancing and the tennis ball, what do you think of that ?

I didn't think much of them in terms of boxing training, but they seemed like fun little exercises to pass the time and show off how relaxed the champ is ahead of the fight. Granted, the pad work seemed a bit off at times, but it looked like both of them were just kidding around in there. Smiles all around.

Sosnowski was the one who looked like he had something to prove by account of his more vigorous pad workout.

I hope he has trained more seriously than he has worked out for the public eye. After all, he has only been training for 1 month if I recall right...

anyway, maybe I make a big deal out of him looking like an amateur working out when I shouldn't, but when you underestimate an opponent, thaT'S USually when the upsets happen

this is Sosnowski once in a lifetime chance, he must have worked like crazy, more ready than ever

Vitali could knock this bum out with no training at all.

Besides, he has natural fighting instincts whether it looks clumsy or not.

Vitali knocks guys out. Simple as that. He knows what you are doing and you don't klnow what he's going to do. That's the beauty of his style.

Vitali is a top ten ATG Hw.

Well, he stops 'em and makes them quit these days. The last time he straight-up brutalised someone by KO was Williams.

                    It's all good, though.
