I thought that Mayweather had really settled in at 140 for this fight. He looked like he carried the weight very well, and he could easily go higher. He definitely has legitimate power at 140. I'm a big Gatti supporter, but there's no way you can't say he was completely outclassed.

MD, you think it's funny that Gatti got beat up by someone with three times his talent? Gatti is the one who, in the end, goes home with the bigger paycheck. Gatti is the guy who could go to any bar in the country and there'd probably be at least someone in the house who'd buy him a drink. Mayweather would be lucky to not get his ass kicked if he walked into a bar alone, with no entourage, and ran his mouth.

In the game of boxing, Mayweather is a king. No one can dispute that. I bet he'll kick Hatton's ass too. In the game of life though, he's nothing special. He and Zudah are two peas in a pod. Money can buy a lot of things, but class isn't one of them. Give me a Lamon Brewster, Mickey Ward, Vernon Forrest, Vitali Klitschko or Chris Byrd anyday over a Tyson, Judah, Mayweather, or Toney.

well feel free to root for whoever you'd like, but I'll take a world-class fighter with an attitude problem over a classy prima donna any day of the week and twice on Sunday....the reason guys like Forrest, Klitschko, Ward, etc, don't talk trash, is becuase they're average fighters, not because they're "classy" but because they're mediocre, Floyd is king of the world so he should talk the biggest game to go along with his ability (remember that guy from the 60's and 70's, what was his name? Oh yeah ALI!)

Screw becoming a household name, let Mayweather collect his huge paydays and let Mayweather keep fighting the best and winning. Who gives a **** about becoming a household name, Boxing isnt even a household sport.

Mayweather is the best boxer this era has now and you should appreciate his skills and the career he has had so far. If Mayweather chose to retire right now he would still have the best resume out of majority of the boxers today. Mayweather has just entered his prime, he has potential to be the greatest.

true, who cares about household names, their getting paid millions while your not.

yeah but the thing is Mayweather would need to fight well liked fighters to get people to see him. Gatti fought bums and he filled the arena. Mayweather fought a bum in Bruselles and the American Airlines Arena in Miami had less people than a a game of the WNBA Sol. Yeah hes is the best out there but he wont be liked or remembered as a legend cause of his antics.

Also people are saying Floyd is the best in this era?? WTF? a few months ago Bernard was the bets of this era, a year ago Roy was the best of this era??? How long is an Era 6 months?

Yeah but Ali didnt insult people as bad as Floyd did, he called him a bum, a C fighter and he said Gatti had plastic surgury in his face and he looked Asian. When Ali talked he did it in a funny way. Also Vitali is the best Heavyweight out there how can u say hes average, He can beat any fighter now and 10 years ago as well. I remember Oscar was one of the best in this era he didnt talk smack. Roy Jones probably the best fighter in our era he didnt talk smack, B-Hop doesnt insult people, Tito didnt, Chavez didnt Leonard didnt we can go on and on

Some of you people on this website take your hate for Mayweather to a personal level, like he ran over your pregnant wife and brutally ****d your three year old daughter all on the same day..

This stuff is getting kind of ridiculous, it's one thing to just totally not like a fighter or athlete or whatever, but you people hate him so much that you try to bring him down even after he does something praise worthy.

People who try to differentiate Ali's trash talking with Mayweather are simply hypocrites. They hate Mayweather for trash talking, but praise Ali for trash talking.

Let's not talk about how big of a backstabbing douche Ali was to Joe Frazier.

what usually happens is a fighter like that earns more respect in defeat than they ever do winning.
