Mayweather is underrated in the power department, ask Corrales.
Do you think the gloves were to protect his hands? Of course if you asked pre-fight Mayweather he would have probably told you that he wanted to soften his blows so that Gatti would have a fighting chance .

I really don't see how people can question Floyd's power now. I can understand wanting to see him a bit more at 140 before seeing if he could dent some of the toughter fighters up there. But Gatti is about the best test you can find for that sort of thing, and Floyd had him stagerring for half the fight.

I agree Floyd has power without doubt...

Of course they were why else would Morales wear them.

Another odd thing is that we all know Gatti has hand problems and he chose to wear Everlast, Everlast is a pretty soft glove. I am surprised Gatti didnt edge out any advantage and put on some Reyes, although that wouldnt have mattered anyways. Gatti didnt even hit Floyd. (Well with anything of note)

Mayweather cracked Corley and Gatti with hard shots with "pillows" and hurt them. I believe he has power and if anybody says he doesnt they are just blind sided by their hatred toward the greatest fighter in our era.

What won't change after this fight is Mayweather's attitude. He's the same ****y SOB who'll be saying the same things about Hatton if they fight. Or Cotto. Or whomever.

And in all likelihood, he'll beat those guys. Probably with ease. But will he ever build a fanabse like Gatti's? Will he ever transcend boxing and become a household celebrity like Sugar Ray Leonard and Muhammad Ali? While I wouldn't bet against Mayweather in a boxing match, everything I have says he doesn't.

Mayweather claims he would be content to continue be the bad guy in boxing. For his sake I hope so, because that's all I see in his future.

Hahahahaha, racist hater. All you do is hate on the straight black fighters. Get over it, *****. Your ********** fantasy boy Gatti got his ASS BEAT DOWN! Hahahahaha. 41 punches? Yeah right, Compubox was being nice.

I just don't know how anyone could look at that fight and go "so what?".
Mucher larger DLH? Hardly. That was just Gatti fighting someone his own size for the first and only time in his whole ****ing career. That bum regularly weighed in the night of the fight above 155. He got what he deserved. No need to take that away from DLH, which I don't think you were trying to do.

And Floyd could've put Gatti away in 4 had he stood in there more earlier on. Oh well, just means we get to watch more of a beating for Gatti, which is now forever on tape and dvd. I get to watch it over and over again. hehehehehe, I love it.

From the opening seconds you could tell that Gatti had no chance. Floyd was operating on a different level, plain and simple.

masterdirector, no I wasn't trying to take away anything from DLH's performance either. But Floyd isn't even a natural at 140, nevermind 155, and delivered a similar beating, which is incredible.

Anyone know how much Gatti weighed in the night of the fight?

Dlh vs Gatti is one of my favorite beatdowns, DLH just leaned over Gatti and was like I am going to throw here and here and maybe here and land. The humor is that he did just that.

Gatti was too embarrassed to step on the scale when the HBO crew came into his locker room.

I thought something was missing no note of it and no talking about it during the tale of the tape. I am a bit surprised though, the Gatti lovers thinks it is cute he can make 140 and come in at 170 and smack his opponents around.

Probably didnt want to embarass himself if he weighed 160 and got beat by a legit 140 pound fighter.
