I'm shocked that only 12000 tickets have been sold. I heard that it was suppose to be 30000 seats. This is sad for boxing yankee stadium could only pull 12000 people in for this fight. What do you guys think the reason is and what will it be by fight time.

The promotion for The Event was bull****. Even Floyd fans were saying it. Joshua Clottey was a no name as well but Manny still managed to pull 700K. Apparently, the only reason Cotto/Pac pulled over a million was because Cotto was the draw (even though he wasn't enough of one to fight Mayweather?) so now Cotto isn't a draw?

The problem with this is that Clottey has fought Judah, Margarito, Bladomir, Cotto, and Corrales.
Plus Arum was promoting the fight by saying that many people thought Clottey beat Cotto. Plus the new Dallas Cowboy stadium.

Dont even listen to the myth about how Pacqiuao/clottey promotion was ****!!! I was at the fight live in dallas and even before i left the UK we had the fight been advertised along with the stadium over here in the U.K...Clottey also had been on a run of good-name opponents like you just listed, Fact was Cotto brought a lot of sales into the Pacquiao-cotto fight, Thats why Pacquiao could only do 700K without a big-name like he did with Clottey.

12000 is great for a boxing fight but at yankee stadium that is a disappointment. I think it will look bad on hbo whenn they show the empty yankee stadium. If that report of 40000 seats is true it will be amazing because all those seats in right field where ring will be is sickening
