On a seperate note I want to ask why Khan gets so much flak for having a keep busy fight against Casamayor at 140lbs, When Bradley is having a keep busy fight with Abregu 147lbs? Khan gets accused of ducking Maidana who has a broken back, Yet Bradley gets away with ducking Alexander?

Katsidis has said he doesnt want to fight Khan, He wants to fight Marquez after the Marquez/Diaz II fight. He has no interested in moving upto 140lbs to fight Khan. Casamayor was brought into the equation by Freddie Roach who offered Casamayor sparring with Khan and Casamayor said he wanted to fight Khan for his title and would KO Khan.



Using that logic Bradley and Alexander should fight world beaters in Dmitry Salita because he has only one loss.

Khan will never get any credit if he fights anyone who is not a world champion or former world champion/mandatory.

Having Casamayor on your CV is alot better than Petterson.

At 135 maybe.... at 140, no.

What has he accomplished at 140lbs?

Joel will be 39 years old this summer, and has accomplished ZILCH in the 140lb division.. If you want to talk about not getting credit, he won't be getting it for this fight... where as Lamont is at least a young prime SOLID fighter, where his only loss is to the best fighter in the division.

Besides, Lamont was just a suggestion.

Because in all likelihood when Khan shuts him out in 10 rounds, people will argue that this shot big name fighter is another great win on his resume, when in reality its just a keep busy fight, like you said, against a big name fighter probably looking to go out with one big final paycheck.

Is it me or does Khan fight in the 140lb division?

I feel you reed but if this fight is for July this is a stay busy fight, and if that's the case I have no problem with Khan fighting a lesser opponent at 140. Provided he fights one of the top dogs of 140 in his immediate fight after.

If Khan ever gets himself into a war, he's a KO waiting to happen. See the fights with Limond and Gomez. Who with all due respect to them are domestic fighters who aren't that good and both still sent Khan to the deck.

Khan will fight on the outside for the rest of his life. He won't get himself into any 'wars' at this level, otherwise he'll get KTFO!
