    How about Lamont Peterson?

    He just fought last month...
Why Lamont Peterson? He has never been a world champion. Khan is in a catch-22: He cant fight Maidana because Maidana has a broken back, He cant go for a unification fight with Bradley or Alexander as its not enough time to prepare. He cant fight during Ramadan, So his only two choices are Casamayor or Katsidis. Roach offered Casamayor a job sparring with Khan, But Casamayor tuned it doing saying he wanted to fight Khan instead and would KO Khan.

Casamayor makes the most sense here.

I wouldn't be surprised if an old shot version still gave him some problems.

Khan is starting to enter Juanma territory.
Khan would destroy Marquez too right now

To the guy above i would prefer Kastidas right now, i think its a tougher fight and he is similar in some respects to Maidana.

His only loss is to Tim Bradley and he's still ranked in the top 10 Jr. ww's.

It wouldn't be a bad fight, and he should be available.

Wow, I thought Khan was going to start fighting heavy hitters? Nope, it even seems like he's trying to make room for an excuse not to fight Michael because maybe because "Casamayor beat him" so he's the front runner.

Fight Michael or a freakin 140 pounder. Either way he's getting sparked. Disappointed in Khan. Your the #3 fighter in your weight class so why don't you fight your weight class?

I'd let Michael slide though because he seems to be hitting his peak and I think he takes Khan out.

Maidana has a broken back? When did this happen?

Problem is if Khan fights Lamont Peterson and beats Lamont Peterson he wont get any credit, People will say Lamont Peterson? The guy who lost two world title fights? Was never a world champion?

Khan should stick to fighting former world champions.

It's a stay busy fight, who cares? I'd rather see Khan fight Casamayor in July, than not fight at all. 6 Weeks of training isn't near enough time to prepare for a big fight. Casamayor will present a decent test to Khan.

Anyone ever think that Katsidis might not be wanting to come up to light welterweight, hence Casa being put into the picture?

I think it happened during the training for his Bradley fight. It was announced and then 2-3 weeks later, he pulled out due to it.

                    He's only lost one fight.

Katsidis has said he doesnt want to fight Khan, He wants to fight Marquez after the Marquez/Diaz II fight. He has no interested in moving upto 140lbs to fight Khan. Casamayor was brought into the equation by Freddie Roach who offered Casamayor sparring with Khan and Casamayor said he wanted to fight Khan for his title and would KO Khan.

Using that logic Bradley and Alexander should fight world beaters in Dmitry Salita because he has only one loss.

Khan will never get any credit if he fights anyone who is not a world champion or former world champion/mandatory.

Having Casamayor on your CV is alot better than Petterson.
