Roy is an ATG hands down. He had unbelievable natural talent and reflexes, that's why everyone loved him. But I do agree that when that chin finally got touched clean, he hit the deck. I grew up watching Roy, so I love the guy.

I disagree. Roy was dropped against a fighter who's name slips my mind. He got right back up to finish him off. You can't blame a fighter for having so much talent and ability they don't get hit often.

Roy faced Hopkins with an injured hand and still beat him.
Roy was in danger in his first fight with Montell, and came back with a vengeance. He came back so hard he couldn't control his own fury and whacked Montell when he'd already knocked him down, which got him DQ'd.
Roy rematched Griffin who'd given him his toughest match and iced him in 1 round.
Say what you want about Ruiz, but Roy was basically a CW fighting a HW, took what shots Ruiz could give him, and dominated the fight to win.
Roy was dead tired and physically weak in the first Tarver fight, and still won it clearly, particularly in his rally during the championship rounds.
TS is a damn fool.

To The Badguy,
You are either ******ed or are just looking to stir up some ****. You've been following boxing since '88 ah? I'm sure that at age 4 you were already putting out your grand opinions of wisdom to **** on the great fighters of the time. Your just another guy with opinions that mean nothing. Roy Jones could not face adversity, please. The man fought them all and ducked nobody. The only time he had trouble was when he aged. In his prime nobody could touch him with much to make him face adversity. You should change your name to The Badopinion................Rockin'your opinions

His greatest asset was his God given talent. When his age came that went and it didn't help that he drained himself back down 20lbs. of muscle.
