LOL! Cotto is the 3rd biggest draw in boxing and you're going to compare him to JMM who never sold millions of PPVs, lol. Compare Cotto vs. Manny to Shane vs. Floyd and tell me who sold more PPVs. Mosley is not an A-side boxer and never sold millions of PPVs.

Pacquaio had 24/7 with de la Hoya nd Hatton and Mayweather outdid him 2:1 with the same opponents. Pacqauio-Cotto had 24/7, Mayweatehr-Mosley outdid it. I don't think your being realistic bro. Mayweather is just a bigger draw than Pac anyway you look at it and is in no way outta line for asking to be compensated for it a potential promotion.
Calz/Jones had a 24/7? I actually attended that fight live, packed house but we all knew and expected the eventual outcome. I'm sure the larger public knew this as well and didn't want to invest in what they saw as one fighter on the way to retirement versus a fight who had seen his best days years before, there was no intrigue in that fight.

The numbers remained the same prior to the last negotiation and not a whisper from the Mayweather camp. Mosley/May only slightly outsold Pac/Cotto, the numbers aren't that far apart. My general point is you can't compare Mosley/May to Pac/Clottey and that seems to be what the Mayweather camp is basing negotiations on. Mayweather was a slightly bigger draw before the last failed negotiation, judging by that very same criteria why did he accept 50/50 then?

If anything, make the stakes higher and do a 52/48 split with the winner taking 52. Keep in mind as well that both will get % off PPV and gate, so are they really gonna hold up a fight of this magnitude over greed?
Agree. winner could take more if they want, just a betting game and winner takes more. This will break all records and this will be their highest payday ever! for both

I haven't tried to compare Mayweather-Mosley to Pacquaio-Clottey once because it isn't a fair comparison because of the dance partners. But, in Maywather's return, his two PPVs have outdrawn Pac's by 500K buys. That's the issue. Take into account that Mayweather has outdrawn Pac 2:1 in fights with common opponents, what exactly else does he need to do to establish himself as th bigger draw?
