Hopkins was a heavy underdog against Trinidad, Pavlik and Tarver. The Wright-Hopkins fight was even on fight night and I think maybe even Wright was favored come fight night. Like Floyd, they are mismatches after he's done with his opponents.

Pavlik and Tarver I can understand, but Winky?

I don't remember the last time Mayweather was the underdog. Even against Chico he was a slight betting favorite.

Hopkins was the underdog in all those fights.

Hopkins is the biggest con artist in the sport. He is probably the fighter who has benfited most from HBO hype.

The gimp never beat a top quality athlete in his career. Someone who could move, box, show him angles and someone who wouldn't just plod straight at him, like Pavlik or Trinidad.

Put him in there with good quality athletic guys near their best and he loses.

He never beat a young athletic guy throughout his career. Dirrell and Ward would beat him at any stage of his "legendary" career. Seriously, they don't come more overrrated than Hopkins.

Still havent watched the whole fight, some posters here feel that Wright deserved to get the nod, what's your opinion?

you must be joking, hopkins is one of the most technically skilled fighters of all time. More technically skilled than mayweather.
