its good to have him still sticking around the sport. giving analysis in espn, making appearances during promotions, etc. bernard is a pretty cool character.

to me though, this dude does not belong anywhere close to ATG. nothing even close to being special.

Headbutting, holding, running and occasionally lunging in with a right hand. I don't consider that very technical. Mayweather is far superior to Hopkins.

Is Lacy a great win for Calzaghe? Since he was supposed to get destroyed...

Mayweather is not superior to hopkins. Mayweather is primarily a counter puncher, but hopkins has an all round game and is a more complete fighter.

greater inside fighter than mayweather for sure.

lol, Hopkins never lunges in with the right hand. Thats what naseem hamed does.

                No way
Toney can: fight on the inside, parry, counter/puncher, high guard, shoulder roll, Archie moore dips, he can also do Hopkins defensive technique as well, see Peters II
Mayweather can fight on the inside, counter/puncher, high guard, shoulder roll, fight in the pocket

What can Hopkins do that those guys can't do?

Hopkins has the perfect fighters stance for me because it has the best line of defence.

Hopkins like to create optical illusions as analysed in this video. For a fighter to go that deep into breaking down his opponent is amazing.

Now, skip the video to 1:22....Now thats what I'm talking about. "Hard right hand, inside by hopkins!" hearing that line never gets old.

Hopkins is number one for me.
